9  Colder this morning and quite a lot of snow down. Still snowing and drifting. Ernest at cemetery this morning, only 5 inches of frost. Lots of snow. Funeral this afternoon. YPS at Ray Lairds, girls didn’t go

 

10  8A. Fine day but cold. Marj, Dora and Mabel here all day. CGIT Banquet for Mothers and Grandmothers. Anita went up for Mother and Dad took her home. Everyone pretty tired at night

 

11  10A. A howling snowstorm all day and into night. Wind NE and deep cold. No church. Everyone rested after the big day yesterday.

 

12  12A. Cloudy in AM but finer in afternoon. Letters from Waine Maud and Miss Moore. Anita started Mrs Boas mat. Practice at Jerrys at night. Marion painted shells.

 

13  Lovely morning. Girls washed. Ernest killed 2 porkers at Jas O’s. Practice here at night. Mrs. Eddie Toombs quite poorly. Pigs weighed 218. 212 lbs.

 

14  Rain and snow and very very dirty. Girls hooking. Practice at Jerrys to-night. Pudding & ice cream. PJs birthday.

 

15  Lovely March day. Hooking and getting ready for Institute Social at Jerrys. A good crowd and program and made $17.71c.

 

16  The day after and everyone tired. Girls hooking. Ernest went down to see Bob and I visited at Lornes YPS at Jim Stewarts. Keith came up from Carleton got here about 7 o clock. Upton Smith and Sheriff Wright here for dinner at 2 PM. Thawing some today but colder this evening. Director

17  Meeting of the Hall company directors to-night. Keith went home after dinner and took Pauline with him. Not many to CGIT meeting.

 

18  Raining in morning and snowing at night. Baptist Church in afternoon and YPService in United C at night. Not many to it but it was a very nice service. Elmer Gordon & Eric in for lunch. Pretty rough at 11.30.

19  14A. In morning and 4A to-night. Ernest hauling manure. Girls hooking. No news.

 

20  Lovely fine day but quite frosty. Marion hooking. Anita getting basket ready for Pie Social in Hall. Mr Paterson bought it. Had a nice quiet evening at home. They made 32.50 at social.

 

21  Cold chill east wind. Institute at Mike Doyles. Took two sleighs and Anita took Ellice Anna & Mrs Paterson. Tired at night. Road pretty icy in places. Lots and lots of snow.

 

22  Ernest and Anita went to Hunter River to doctors. Nan got two teeth out. Lorraine made an average of 74 in her exams. Mary Stewart and Helen and Walter here this afternoon. Gertrude got home from S. Side.

 

23  4A. and blowing a gale and drifting. Moderated at night. Marion went to YPS with Eric Bell. Put in open window quilt.

 

24  Lovely day. Anita not very spry or Marion either. Keith
