17 Rained most of day. Ernest putting on outside windows.
18 Much colder, changed room stoves, moved organ and put up hurricanes. YPS at H. Lairds. Ernest at Hams to-day fixing up his windows.
19 Cloudy. Killed 9 hogs. Ham here. Busy.
20 Rained all night and until 10:30. Alvin, Anita and Allie Coughlin arrived at noon. Margaret over to-night.
21 Fine day. Girls washed and put in a quilt this afternoon. Keith took a load of pork to Bradalbane got 5c a lb.
22 Colder and dirty. Snow and rain. Ellice over and we quilted on Keiths quilt. Fresh pork for dinner.
Aunt Sadie came home.
23 Fine and cold north wind. Quilting. Institute at Chester Woolner’s, annual meeting. Mrs Wyand new Pres.
24 Miserable day, snow and rain. Quite mild to-night. Margaret over quilting. Tired?
25 Lovely day. Finished quilting. Went over to Jerrys in afternoon. YPS at Manse to-night.
26 Lovely mild morning. Wind came round cold in afternoon. Alf & Sophia Simpson called. Cold night. Kids over to Jerrys in evening.
27 Cold wind and snow flurries in AM. Baptist church at night. Quiet day.

28 14A. Lovely fine bright sunny day all day. Girls washed. Evelyn McVane here to tea and went with girls to Austins. Ernes & Jas O up to Art Simpsons this evening.
29 Fine day, not as frosty. Ernest & K. in woods. Over to John F’s in evening.
30 Pouring rain all day long and blowing a gale to-night. Quilting Margarets quilt. Margaret here all night.
Dec 1 Foggy dark day. Quilting. Roads bad, lots of mud. Mr Quigley called in afternoon. John Brown died at Gordon Lairds this morning.

2 Woke up early to the sound of Pierce McNeill coming in, he had been out all night and was pretty well tired out. Keith found him behind the barn. YPS at Simpsons Bell to-night.
3 Lovely fine mild day. Went with Ernest to Gordon Lairds to John Browns funeral. Came back to Bob McKenzies for supper. Got parcel of books from Miss Marshall.
Mr Johnson Yonkers NY died. Chris Cobbs new baby.
4 Pretty nice day. Alvin & Allie Coughlin down for dinner and took Marion & Anita to Town to see Lorraine.
5 Rainy part of day, quite warm. Roads terrible. Finished Margarets quilt.
6 Lovely day. Girls washed. Men in woods. Roads bad.
7 52A. Rain in AM, warm and bright in afternoon. Girls went to Wyands to practice. Harold Toombs baby very sick.
8 Rain this morning, heard that the baby had died.
