1  Cooler to-day and heavy surf on. Was down to shore in afternoon. Quite cool at night. Got Christmas parcel from Ken.

 

2  Fine but wind cool. Irene Wyand came home at night. Had a quiet restful Sunday.

 

3  Fine all day, rained at night quite hard. Miss Hazard & Miss Wakely arrived. Feeling a little better.

 

4  Fine and very warm. Dad & Anita went to town with the Walfords. Norman McNeill & Mrs Alex McNeill (Dr) Louise, Vivian and Norman Jr. were here also Dr Charlie King and wife and son and daughter.

 

5  Lovely day. Mrs Jack Webster and party here for dinner. Mrs. Ben Woolner up this afternoon. Miss Moore here to tea. Jamie Wedlock called. Girls awfully busy.

 

6  Fine day. Walfords left. Lorne took Marion and me to Mayfield to vote, then I went down there for the rest of day. Thunder at night and election returns did not come in.

7  Fine. Marion turned up her toes in the AM and I did after dinner. Conservatives have a big majority. YPS at Cawnpone. Bacon & toast. Keith and Reg out.

 

8  Fine again and not too warm. Every

8  body busy. Ernest & I went to Beach at sunset. Choir practice here at night. Heard tonight that BW LePage won his election after all. Mayme Webb died in Los Angeles.

9  Lovely day, quite cool. Elmer Lizzie May and Arthur here in afternoon. Harry Linkletters and AJ Matheson here too. B. Church at night. Ellice over in evening.

 

10  Fine and cool. Girls washed. In bed all day. New Glasgow YPS at Austins to-night. Spraying potatoes. Mrs Archie Beaton & Rev Ernie McDonald arrived at night.

 

11  Feeling better. Up most of the day. Girls ironing and busy.

 

12  Cloudy and rained before dinner but tho’ threatening did not rain again until night. United Church Tea. Was down a little while in evening with Jamie Wedlock. Gertrude & Hilda and Wilbur and Emerson, Keith, Reggie, Irving, Ruth Isobel & Margaret here in evening. Pauline went to Southport with K.

 

13  Not very fine. Ernest & I went up to Bay View for clams. School started.

 

14  Fine. Finished Marions little print dress. XYZ. Youngsters had a final camp fire at shore for Miss Russel.
