here all day. Mr Green, Mr & Mrs Quigley & Mr Bishop in.

 

4  Glorious day. Mother some better. Did big washing in AM. Planted sweet peas & glads & cleaned yard in PM. Tired.

 

5  Fine & cold. Finished ironing in AM. Cleaned dining room.

 

6  Nice day. Cleaned spare room & Keiths. Mother worse, took Mable MacVane to Institute at Bobs good meeting. Dad harrowing.

 

7  Wonderful fine warm day Mother no better Dr Flemming down. Mr & Mrs Bob & Charlie MacKenzie here Mr Quigley called. Cleaned our room. Up to see Thyra tonight.

 

8  Lovely day. Nothing new. YPS in church. Stanley Houstons buildings burned at Glasgow Road. Mother just the same.

 

9  Cleaned kids room. Mother worse. Mr Bishop & Ellice here in afternoon, I stayed with Harriet. Marion went after Mrs Wyand. Keith Reg & Harold MacKie arrived at 1:30 AM. Sunday.

13 chickens out of incubator

 

10  Boys left for town at 7 AM. Are we tired? Dr Claude & Flemming here in afternoon also Mrs. Albert & Lorne, Nannies, Mr Quigley, Reuel, Mables, Mr Green, Art & Mrs Woolner. Church

at night. Mother’s Day.

 

11  Gosh what a day. Our wash was doomed to a bad end. Mother very sick from morphine. Upton hauled 125 bus oats from HR for us. Raining at night.

 

12  Still raining hard. Dr down. Mother just the same. Clothes dried some.

 

13  Fine day. Ironed all day. Moved Mother to spare room. Ida, Laura, and Hester also Ham Mr Bishop Mr Chapman Mr & Mrs Quigley in at night. Dad fixed Mimas plot in cemetery.

 

14  Biggest rain this spring. Had a great time with the chickens today. Cleaned part of pantry. Dr down no change in Mothers condition. New son at Mary Grahams. Dora Buntain operated on.

 

15  Fine day. Finished pantry. Mrs Woolner Art up at night, Lorraine & I at YPS at Rustico.

16  Mother better to-day. Moved phone to kitchen. Cleaned kitchen. Dad harrowing. Dr down tonight.

 

17  M. still better. SS in morning. Lovely morning, but rained in afternoon. Aunt Lydie Reg Ruth Margaret & Keith out from Southport. Ellice over also Mr & Mrs Quigley & Mr & Mrs. Bishop. Baptist Church at night.
