Feeling pretty mean. Anna fell and hurt her leg.
19 Lovely day. Had a lot of company. Feeling rotten all day. Mrs Wyand, Ellice, Hester, Laura, Miss McCurry and Mr Quigley here. Anna feeling pretty mean. Ham back again this evening.
20 Lovely morning. White frost. Girls washing. Men shoveling out road for wheels. Gertrude down in evening.
21 Men still shovelling. Dad made Annas new hot bed. Keith taking banking away. Mrs Bishop & Hazel to see Mother also Mrs Wyand. M no better. Telegram from Marion shes staying in Montreal. Anne Flemming died in Boston.

22 Beautiful day. Mother very sick tonight. Marion came home, met her in Emerald. Winnie over and Mrs Wyand out.
23 Wood sawers here very busy. Mother no better had Dr down. Nannie came in afternoon. Raining at night. All tired.
24 Dark day & foggy. Nannie went to Lorne YPS at MacCoubrey. Mr Bishop here also Ham darn him! Mother slightly improved.
25 Mother still a bit better. Keith went to town. Marion to see Anna. Cemetery meeting here tonight. Anne Flemming buried this AM. Fair day.
26 Fine day. Mother about the same. Church in AM. Mrs. Wyand out. Monda called in afternoon.
May 1931
Jimmie down to supper. Sing song at Manse & [?] had a “spell.”
27 Raining in morning, nothing new. Keith home.
28 Washed all morning. Dad & Keith hauled straw from Freds barn. all tired. Mr & Mrs Bishop & Ellis here to-night.
29 Ironed and worked at our braided mat. Keith went to town re Southport position. Raining very hard to-night. Dad got hay from George Robinson. Mother improving. Pauline sick at stomach.
30 Lovely day but cold. Dad getting ready to fence. Keith went to Southport for how long remains to be seen. M & I over to see Anna. Dad to Harolds.
May 1st Fine day. Planted hot bed. Mother poorly. Went to YPS with Mr Bishop to Rustico Church. First car drive of the season.
2 Fine day but dark. Planted peas, beets, chard and radishes, cleaned yard, etc. Set out rose bush. Mother not very good.
3 Dirty day. Dr down found Mother improved but suffering a great deal with her side. SS started Baptist Church in PM. Nannie
