17 Feeling better to-day. Lovely day. Wind east. Ernest and Anita washed in AM and A & I went to see Anna in afternoon. Inspector at school and K took him to Rustico. Dad went to Stanley to Poverty social. Anita finished ironing. Jim & Dorothy down for a spell coasting.
18 Regular St. Patrick’s storm. North east all day. Had nice letter from Marion. Dreary day. Bound two mats.
19 NE. Still drifting and snowing. Put in small mat. Not much any one could do. Lots of snow banks now. No mail.
20 Still drifting and snowing some all day but finer to-night. YPS at Freds to-night. Ernest to Stanley with cream this morning.
21 First bright day for a long time. Went for a drive this afternoon. Called on Mrs Austin and had tea with Mrs Albert. Anita and Dad have gone up to Freds to see about starting concert or play.
22 Lovely fine day. Wind SW. Preaching at Jerrys in afternoon. Mary G came with Anita to supper. Sing song here to-night. Keith went to Town in AM.
23 Beautiful day. Washed. Ernest PJ & I went to Alexs and Anita & Lorraine to Manse. Foggy when we came home.
24 Fine. Wind east again. Anita has sore throat. Finished mat no.4. Institute at Roy Toombs. None of us went.
25 Fine. Thawing a little everyday but freezing at night. Cleaning house for banquet Friday night. Tired.
26 Fine busy but chill. Busy. Ernest to mill in AM. Anita cleaned big room and kitchen. I baked. E got church chairs. Bruce Grahams have a new girl.
27 Fine day, but cool wind. North Shore YPS held banquet at Webbs. Fifty seven here. Big time. Toasts and speeches. Keith and Reg Webb came out from Town. Got home at 5 AM. Ernest & K have bad colds.

28 Fine. Everyone tired. Ernest pretty sick with cold to-day. Side took a kink at Supper time. Pretty mean all night.
29 Sunday. Fine in AM. U Church. Anita went over to see Mrs Austin. Feeling rotten at night. Pouring rain at night.
30 Raining most of morning. Wind SE.

Nice spring day. Washed in a [?]. Dr Fleming down to see Myrtle pretty sick. Congestion of liver. Keith and Reggie went to Mayfield.
April 1st Mother still quite sick. Busy all day. Keith & Reg went to HR for Lowther girls. Longish[?] road. Little pigs at barn 7 left from 9.
2 Mother still bad, got Mrs Wyand out at night. Lowther girls over at night. Snow going like smoke. It won’t be long now.
