3  Ernest went with hogs to Hunter River. Got the enormous sum of 6c per lb. Terrible road and pitches. Practice here at night. Anna fell this evening and broke her leg. Keith went for Stevenson.

4  The Doctors Stevenson & Fleming set Anna’s leg this morning. Fleming here. Stayed in bed all day. Very tired.

 

5  Quite a storm in the morning but better by noon. Hooking some. Blowing hard. Had a lot of northeast wind lately.

 

6  Fine and not blowing hard. Roads are better to-day. Was over to see Anna. She is pretty sore. YPS at Lewis Toombs to-night. Letter from Peggy. Dr. Barretts have a new girl.

 

7  Fine day. Ernest and Jerry went to Rustico for mud for Lems. Austin Laird has egg hauling. Half through with McGarry mat. Keith went to town.

 

8  Fine but cloudy and east wind which we have had now for nearly three weeks. Very little frost. This around 30 degrees most of time. Young Peoples service of song in United Church at night and we all went. Elmer & Eric down and came in after church. Girls had dinner at Nannies and called to see Anna.

 

9  Fine in AM. Came up quite a storm in afternoon.

9  Keith and Jimmy got home from Town before the storm.

 

10  Snowing a little all day. Roads heavy. The Parlor social that was to have been to-night has been postponed and there is a practice instead.

 

11  Had a little bit of sunshine to-day and the wind S West for the first time in about three weeks. Ernest & I called on Mr & Mrs John F this afternoon. It is their 56th anniversary. Mary G David J Jimmy Warren & Elmer Peters here this evening.

 

12  Fine and mild. Parlor social at Manse. All went but Keith. Two letters from Marion, one from Preston. Feeling fairly good.

13  Lovely day. Finished McGarry rug. Dad & I went calling on Mrs Hammond McKenzie and had tea at Bob’s. YPS at EC LePages.

 

14  Fine day. Mother came down. PJ birthday, eleven to-day. Mabel Simpson here and Mr & Mrs Quigley and Mrs Wyand & Ethel here to tea. Keith, Anita, & Waine spent evening at Preston Warrens. Thawing a little everyday.

 

15  Sunday. Fine. Preaching in afternoon. Took Mother home in evening. Roads very pitchy. Sing song here at night.

 

16  Fine day. Not feeling well at all. Anita busy at her short hand. Dad & Nan over at Manse to-night.
