14  Lovely fine day. Roads bad. Keith went to Harolds in AM. Mail came. Not very cold and a spring like sky to-night. Hammond McKenzie died suddenly about 11:20 PM. Dad went down.

15  Grey and storming a little from NE. Ernest got home about 10 AM. Digging grave this afternoon. Up to-day and trying to sew a little.

 

16  Still blowing very hard. Ernest went to funeral. Anita getting ready for Young Peoples which was here at night over thirty here. Have been up all day. Calmed down at night.

 

17  Fine. Made a pair of bloomers for Pauline. Jim and Dorothy Warren down in afternoon and Edward here coasting. Keith went to Stanley for a hockey game.

 

18  Lovely fine day. United Church in afternoon. Keith & Anita went to New Glasgow to church at night.

 

19  Lovely day. Anita washed. Men at ice. Mrs Christopher LePage died this afternoon. Got letters from Marion. Mrs. Ren Toombs sick.

20  Fine day. Mild. Had a drive this afternoon. Ernest & Keith at ice. New calf, very welcome.

 

21  Fine. Finished ice.

 

22  New boy at Ernest Clarks this AM. Ernest helping Jerrys at ice. Social at the Manse

22  to-night. The coldest night we have had yet.

 

23  0. Pretty cold and blowing hard but clear and fine. Letter from Marion. YPS at Lynal Robinsons to-night. Hooking.

 

24  0. Boo but it’s cold. Keith and Anita went to Hampshire and Town. Guess they would freeze. Hooking all day.

 

25  6B. Very fine but very cold. Preaching at Jerrys in afternoon. Quiet day. Jack Bulmans new girl.

 

26  Lovely day. Anita & K. stayed in Town for Burns concert. Milder to-day.

 

27  Washed and scrubbed kitchen. Kids got home in afternoon. Had a great trip. Dad & I went down to Alex’s in evening.

 

28  Still fine and not cold. Went to Harolds and Wyands this evening.

 

29  Fine. Ernest helping Wyands at ice.

 

30  Rough day. Mild in AM but turned cold in afternoon. Blowing hard to-night. School examination in afternoon. YP at Jerrys to-night. Mrs Hammond McKenzie very miserable.

 

31  6A. Pretty sharp morning. Ernest helping Wyands again to-day. Down to see Mrs Albert this afternoon.
