Word in Patriot to-day of the death in New York of the death of Annie Clark Prosser following an operation.
15 this afternoon. Marion made a dress for Anita. Ernest got a load of straw from Cecil. The roads are firming up to-day. Keith’s chickens a week old and all doing fine.
16 Fine but cloudy, washed in AM. Keith splitting wood. Ernest & I went in to Harolds in afternoon. Roads not very good but might be worse. Snow on church hill and Austins. Fulton Simpson and Annie Clark Prossers’ funerals to-day. Annie buried at Canard. N S K & M to play practice.
17 Pouring rain nearly all day. Sewing. No mail.
18 Much milder and more spring like. Marion and I quilting all day. Mrs Bruce Graham here this evening for eggs. Play practice at Hall (Rainy P)
19 Cloudy & misty. A terrible road. Practice at JR Stewarts last night & choir practice at Jerrys. Finished one quilt.
20 Fine day but terribly muddy. Dirty in AM and snowed some. Roads fierce. Ernest went to Harolds with a cart. Leona McCallum here all night.
21 Lovely day. Margaret & Edward here to dinner. Irene Blanche & Ethel & Annie here in afternoon. Anita at Thrya’s at night.
22 Lovely morning. Girls washed quilts, etc. Didn’t dry much. Wind very cold. P. Practice girls cleaned their room. Keith went to H River for hard coal.

23 Everybody tired. Roads very bad. Keeping very cold.
24 Finer to-day and not so cold. Girls washed. In bed most of day. Stomach bad yesterday. Put quilt in frame in afternoon. Margaret Lowther & Blanche Wyand here in evening.
25 Fine in AM. Went down to see Mrs Albert with E. when he was around with his petition. Rained at night a lovely warm rain. Quite dark at night.
26 Lovely after the rain. Grass showing a little bit green. Quilting. Anita cleaned childrens room.
27 Perfect day. Ernest & Anita scrubbed school in AM. Anita and May Stewart went to Wyands in afternoon to get Nans dresses cut out. P Practice to-night. Frances Clarke here.
28 Fine and warm. Helen LePage here all day. Ernest, PJ & I went to Bay View in afternoon. Girls all went to shore. Chickens hatching.
29 Cloudy and raining. Ernest went to H. River with pork got 14 ½ cts plucks in. Play practice at night. Anita at Wyands getting satin dress cut out. Sixty five chickens hatched.
30 Cold wind to-day all day. Keith & Anita went to Hunter River to Dentist. Marion in bed. Sewing a little.
