and fog clouds came up so we came home.
29 Cloudy and damp all day. Pauline went to Hunter River and had four more teeth out and feeling pretty rotten at night. Gordon Laird up in evening.
30 Finer to-day but showery around six o’clock. Heard the King speak from Victoria, BC. Washed. Mr Smith here to dinner. Went over the new driveway. Mr Woods took Happy over to Georges.
31 Fine but cool. Blew hard last night and a heavy sea on all day. Went to Hunter River for chickens for Mary Stewart and to the play in Mayfield at night, “The Road to Happiness”.
June 1 And as cold as Greenland. Everyone working with coats on. The new driveway ready for cars. We went to Kensington to a musical contest put on by Freetown & Long River. Anita went to Carleton.
2 Not too warm but a good day for walking. The new driveway open for cars. We made candy for play at Hall. “Three Days of Grace”. ‘Twas very good. Put on by Kensington players.
3 A lovely day and quite warm. We had Mrs Darnley down for day and we went to Town at night.
4 S. A fine day but blowing a gale. Louise 3 yrs old and the three or four Aunts were there to tea. Pauline and Lorraine went down for Anita.

4 Reuels out for afternoon and to tea.
5 Fine and quite warm for a change. Washed. Mr Smith & McKay out this afternoon getting ready to finish up bathroom. Closed up the dam and had quite a pond but had to let it out this evening.
6 Such a day. Rained most of day and a real storm to-night. The plumbers Mr. Bevan & Co., Messers Smith, McKay & Sutherland here. Making curtains.
7 44A. Cold as Greenland all day and feels like frost to-night but fine. Mr Thompson, Robinson and Bill Thompson arrived in time for supper.

8 Everyone stepping lively to-day. The two greens near the house were torn up and re-built. Anita, Mrs Lowther, Ruth Woods, Bill Thompson, & myself went to town. Got two pairs shoes and corsets for me.
9 Lovely day tho’ foggy in AM. Anita & I went up to Simpson Bells in afternoon. Five extra for dinner. Grading around the house. Fire at lane to-night. Lantern too near the gas. Very foggy at night.
10 A nice day and busy. Mr Thompson left in afternoon. The house was a terrible mess but got it cleaned up. Anita & I went down to Alex’s for a couple of hours.
11 S. Very fine, had Mother down for day and went to Bernards for a little visit in afternoon. CGIT
