11  service at night and Mrs Cavender spoke.

 

12  84 above most of day. Did a big washing and in afternoon just didn’t do anything. Went to creek at night. The tractor working around[?] house all day to day.

 

13  78. Fine all day. Very busy ironing. Vern & Bea and children came about 4 PM and Mr Smart and Gibsons were here before that. Some day.

 

14  A big day in PEI history. King George VI and Queen Elizabeth visited PEI for four hours. Rained most of day and made it very unpleasant but the look we got of their Majesties was worth the trip. The school children were there from all over the Island. Ruth Sheidow here to-night. Bad car accident at Halls hill.

 

15  Just a lovely day and everyone busy and tired at night. Vern & family went to Bay View in afternoon and we went to Hunter River. A party at Alec’s at night for Anita and a gift of $11.00.

 

16  Cloudy and rained quite a lot. Men all working grading around the house. Anita packing her trunk. Verns left for O’Leary this afternoon in rain.

 

17  Fine all day but quite cool. Everyone busy. Anita left with Mr Woods and Art & Ruth for Ontario. About all in its been a strenuous two days or more. Pauline and

17  I took Herb Ross and some of his people to Mill Vale. Cold to-night.

 

18  Very fine but very cold all day. Quite a number around. Mr & Mrs J. Harry Williams and sons were here also JE Harris & wife, Miss Moore & Miss Haszard. Baptist Church at night. Dad & I went to shore.

 

19  A perfect day but cool. Did a huge washing. Mr Smith here in afternoon. Men still working on house grounds. Tired at night. Went to Rustico & bed.

 

20  Very fine day and warm. Blowing a gale at night and light showers. Ironing. Went down to Keiths in evening.

 

21  Quite warm and fine all day. A good rain needed badly. Men sodding along west of house. Everyone busy. Cards from Anita. Charlie has a new car.

 

22  48. Fine. Quite a number of tourists on the go. Not very busy to-day. Walked to top of hill with Dad to-night. Charlie took the girls to S. Side. Men worked until 9 PM.

 

23  44 to night. Been very cold all day. Mr Smith & Mr. Van Ness and Cecil Miller here to-day.

 

24  Fine day and not hot by any means. PJ, Waine Margaret Moore & Helen Green went to Ch. Town. I got a new dress and saw about tables etc. Tired at night.

 

25  Cloudy and damp. Didn’t rain much. Quite a few Island people around. Mr Woods got back with his family.
