27 East wind and freezing to-night. Finished papering the room and the wee hall. Looks nice. PJ washed curtains. Edgar Doiron baby died at 5 AM pneumonia.

28 Bitter cold wind all day and heavy frost this morning. Had Mrs Earl Simpson here all day and she and Pauline cleaned the two big rooms. First ball game to-night and Elton Woodside had his car through to Cavendish, the first this spring.

29 Very fine day. Wind cold, easterly. Everyone busy. Girls and Annie cleaned three bedrooms and little hall. Papered back stairway. Girls went to practice at Hall.
30 S. Oh what a cold wind and a snow storm from 3:30 PM. Ernest and girls went to church & Charlie and Margaurite Graham here for dinner.
May 1 Everything white and road blocked along here. Wind cold all day. Big wash and churned. Everyone tired out to-night. Girls went to practice at Hall. Little Bessie Moore very sick. Letters from Marion and Anita. Murray working on land.
2 Not quite so cold. Ironed and Pauline cleaned the two halls. Charlie in for a while in afternoon. CGIT meeting also Cemetery meeting at church.
3 Just a perfect day. Ernest went to Rustico in forenoon. Bad road. Pauline and I did a big washing of bed clothes. Robert Zeb here cleaning up and made a lovely smelling
smoke on our clean clothes. Eaton order came and what we wanted most has to go back so altogether its been a rather aggravating day. Expected Mr Smith and he didn’t come and the bread isn’t baking good and etc so on.

4 Cool east wind again. Ernest cleaned outside of windows upstairs and down. Big Conservative meeting at the Strand to-night. Broadcast over CFCY. Pouring rain since 4 PM.
5 Bitter cold, rain and snow and the girls called off the banquet and then decided in evening to have it after all. Mr AR Woods, Mr Henderson, Art Woods & Wife arrived this evening from Toronto. Got stuck down by Olafs.
6 A nice day, sunny and cold wind. Plenty of ice floating around. Charlie went up for Mother in afternoon. The Mother and Daughter banquet by the CGIT girls was a great success and enjoyed by 6 mothers, 1 grand-mother & Mrs Tilly and eight girls.
7 S. Raining in morning wind turned cold. N.E. Took Mother home in evening. She isn’t very strong after such a sick spell of flu. U. Church to-night.
8 Cloudy all day and rained hard at night. Not feeling very spry. Mr Smith & Mr McKay here to dinner and all the afternoon.
