7  went to Mothers for the day. We took Mr Stewart to Charlottetown and saw the picture Ebb Tide. Pouring rain all the way home.

 

8  Watson Fyfe and son Audrey and a LeClair drowned off Peggy Cove, NS

 

8  Lovely day but cold and blowing. Ernest and Earl at Rustico putting in Leigh Warrens gate. Mr & Mrs Art Woods and Ellice in this evening.

9  Nice day still blowing too hard to seed the greens. Mr Stewart left after dinner for Cape Breton. Parley and Daisy came down for Aunt Sadie about 6 PM so we are alone again except for a Frenchman who is here for the day.

 

10  Just a perfect day and Mr Norman has his greens seeded. We washed this morning. Girls went over to Austins for corn for supper. Went to town with Charlie and Robbie. Mr & Mrs Wilbur Willie have a new girl.

11  A lovely day. Had a bad headache. Anita went to Brackley in afternoon. 75 registered here. Mr Quigley here in evening.

 

12  Another lovely day. Anita went to Town early, took Art Woods and wife. Had Miss Haszard and Miss Moore here for dinner and had a quiet afternoon. Went over to see Winnie in evening.

 

13  Cloudy morning and raining by 1 PM. Went to Town with Mrs Bonnell and went to a show with Enid The Girl of the Golden West. Jeanette MacDonald & Nelson Eddy. Still raining.

September 14  Misty to-day. Men worked all day at green across lane and various other places. Mr Smith here to dinner. Made plum jam. Eric and Elmer here this evening. Elmer brought little kitten.

 

15  Misty forenoon and rained hard all afternoon. Anita and I took Mrs Fleming and Mrs Doyle to Town to see about the Banquet. Premier Chamberlain was flying to Germany as a last recourse for the peace of Europe.

 

16  Rained hard all the forenoon. No work done here today. Anita went to Bradalbane with Mr Tillie and the two girls went to Town to-night to a party at Chester McLures. Very warm all day but cooler to night.

 

17  A lovely but a very busy one. Girls simonized the car. Had our Institute dinner at Old Spain and went to the Capital and saw the picture the Call of the Yukon. Lorraine took Robbie and Anita David.

 

18  Cloudy and quite warm. Quite a number of Islanders here in afternoon. Reuel and Enid here to supper and Walter. Church in morning, United.

 

19  Raining this morning, in fact rained until 5 PM. Art Woods ran the tractor but no other work done. Very warm day, temp 68 at 6 PM. Mrs Abb Hiscott died of cancer, has been very ill for a long time.
