18 to the funeral. The mill road bad. A very large funeral, Masonic. Mrs. Dr. Stewart Simpson came home with the remains.
19 Nice day, colder. Baked & churned and sewing. Ernest and Anita went to Hunter River in afternoon. Annie Moore and Bobbie here for a little while. YPS at Stanley Church.
20 Fine in morning but chill started to snow at noon and turned to rain and has been raining hard for hours. No news. Ernest has sciatica pretty bad.
21 Fine day but ground very wet. I walked to shore in forenoon. Found 10c. Baptist Church in afternoon. We females went to Church at night in Stanley.
22 Nice day. Got washing out by 10.30 and had 5 men extra for dinner. Ernest & Pauline went to Rustico at night, took car. Freezing.
23 20A this morning. Wind cold. Lorraine went to Rustico school in afternoon. Anita in bed with cold. Ham has about finished collecting for the cemetery.
24 28A this morning. A chill wind. Four men for dinner.
25 Nice day. Mr Wes Coles & George McCoubrey here moving the little cottage for Mr Paterson. We started for Carleton, got as far as Austins and turned back. Snow on ground and very slippy.

26 cottage almost all the way. YPS at Church. Dad and I went up to see Mrs Hammond and Charlie. Raining when we came home.
27 Cloudy & mild to-day. Mr Coles stumping in the new cemetery plot. Dad and Anita went to Hunter River for a box of six pheasants Ring-necked and we let them out back Lovers Lane. Roads bad.
28 Fine and dark, roads bad. Home all day. Girls went to United Church at night.
29 Very mild, 50A to-night. Rained most of day and stopped outside work. Felix Buote here this afternoon. Jamie Moffat of New Glasgow aged 77 yrs.

30 Just a perfect cloudless day. Girls washed. Ernest has men in woods clearing up dry wood. I walked over to Ellices in afternoon. Aunt Maud’s birthday.

Dec 1 25A. Lovely day. White frost. Choir practice here at night. Mr & Mrs Ben Woolner and Earl McLure here in evening also Charlie & Mrs McKenzie.
2 Another lovely day. Went to Carleton in evening. Cold.
3 NE. Grey day. Ernest has men in woods. Anita took Mrs George Clark and Winnilea[?] and Gladys over to Hunter River. Y.P.S at Church. Got barrel of apples from Murray.
4 30A N.E. Blowing a gale all day. Girls and Ham got away to town early and had a big day. So had I.
5 S. Snowing and blowing. Not very cold. Turned to rain before noon and poured the rest of day.
