5  and his two sisters here for the day. Bonnell preached in the evening to a crowded house. Alvin & Jean Manderson arrived.

 

6  Lovely day, cool and bright. PJ, Aunt Sadie & I took Mr Macdonald to Park Corner. The girls and Alvin went to Ch. Town.

 

7  Lovely day. Anita & PJ went to Carleton for Ina and Louise. Not feeling very good. Gertrude Lamont here in evening.

 

8  Cold day and showers. Washed. Mr Smart and Mr Gibson of Ottawa here early. Kiddies good. Telegram from Mr Hayden, coming Saturday.

 

9  Lovely day but wind cool. Went to town early, got home at 1.45. Kiddies good. Olive Murray & Mabel Simpson here in evening also David & Robbie. Preserved peaches to-night.

 

10  Girls went to Kensington to YP Convention. Busy all day and didn’t do much. Ernest working in woods across brook. Got it very well cleaned out.

Cousins Cheese & Creamery Burned

 

11  Warm south west wind and quite warm all day. Anita & PJ went to Rustico in morning and in evening we went to Borden for Mr Hayden. Had a little rain in afternoon.

 

12  Terrible gale last night and all day. Stacks and trees blown down, no rain. Quite hot to-day. Anita went to town with Reuels. Gordons up to see cow.

 

13  Very warm in morning. Rained in afternoon. Washed. Mr McLaren and men here. Dad & I invited to

13  Bonnells for dinner. Not much news. Heavy rain east.

 

14  Blowing very hard all day but no rain. Very very warm. Cooler to-night. Ernest getting shooting notices up. Mr McDoull here to-night. Is to shingle the roof of Kitchen.

 

15  Busy day, up early. Ernest started patrolling Park. Shooting season opened to-day. Mr Keayes RCMP helping. Perfect day. Went into town and Anita came home. Institute meeting at Mike Doyles.

 

16  I was in town and Ernest travelled practically all day. Choir practice at Church.

 

17  Miss Clarke (Flora) Missionary spoke in Baptist Church. I went to a show in town Wee Willie Winkle featuring Shirley Temple. Had tea at BW LePages. Reuel & Enid got home at night.

 

18  Nice day. Mr Hayden left this AM. Girls came for me in afternoon. Mr Fenton & McLaren here.

 

19  Very nice day. Lizzie, Elmer, Lillian and Arthur down for the day. Church in AM. All home this evening.

 

20  Rather a rough day with wind and showers. 32nd anniversary. Went to Rustico in afternoon with Dad and to Alecs at night.

 

21  Not quite as windy as yesterday but cool. Girls and Ernest picking cranberries this morning. Mr McDoull finished shingling. Went for a drive in evening to see Mr Quigley.
