27 Bonnell. Anita took the Carse family to town and I missed them all and the show. Terribly tired at night. Blew a gale all day.
28 A lovely day, not so hot. Had the Carse family for tea and went for a drive and fishing trip. Mr & Mrs Harper here in evening. Reuels out this afternoon.
29 Just one perfect day. Wind east and not too hot. Mr McKay & McLaren here in afternoon. Watching Fenners cows out of our grain field all the afternoon. The Carse family here in evening. Anita took a party to S. Side.
30 Lovely day. Three people here looking around before I was up this morning. Pauline took the Carse family to Emerald this morning. Made goose berry jam. YPS at Gordon Lairds shore.
31 Another fine day. Not a drop of rain for two weeks and is everything getting dry. No one around to-day. Went to shore in afternoon and got cooled off and again in evening.
Aug 1 Cooler to-day and cloudy and the long wished for rain has come at last. Blowing a gale from East. Aunt Sadie not very well, in bed to-day. Baptist preaching in afternoon. Edith & Ernest spoke, Annie & Laura Bagnall there. I played. Reuels here for supper. Two little girls of Col Parker Hoopers drowned at Stanhope Beach.

2 Cleared up and was a lovely day. Myron & family kept house with Mother to look after Aunt Sadie. Nan, P.J. Dad, and I went to Dalvey and to town to a show at night. “the last of Mrs Chayney.” All tired but happy when we got home. They had a lot of visitors.
3 Another perfect day and a grand thunder shower at night. Anita at Lowthers. PJ and I washed with Dads help. A lot of tourists here. Busy day. Walter went with Anita to the shore for supper.
4 A perfect day. Not so many visitors. The two little Hooper girls who were drowned were buried this afternoon. Ernest sneezing[?] to day. Mary and Laura Bagnall here this evening. Went to Rustico in afternoon and had to go to Hunter River to get a new ground wire for car. Ham & Eric Bell here this evening.
5 Quite a warm day. Pauline took Miss Ormrod[?], Mr & Mrs Harper and Annie Lowther to town. Mr McLarren brought four men out to dinner. Anita at Lowthers. Went for raspberries. Tired.
6 82. Very fine and very warm all day. Western Union YPS picnic and we poured tea to about 300. Dr Bonnell gave an address at the camp fire at night. Everyone tired. A new boy at Cyril Smiths, no. 4
