Thanksgiving, Oct 24
24 Colder this AM and much colder in evening. Rained and hailed. Ernest & PJ went to Thanksgiving service in Church. Ernest finished mangles. Small crop.
25 Cold. Hail & snow stayed on north side of barn all day. Hard frost to-night me thinks. YPS at Manse. Dad pulled carrots. Lucy McLures sale, Wheatley River. Young people at YPS. Letter from Aunt Maud

26 Cold today. Rained last night. Dahlias look pretty dead this morning. Cecils baby died to-day.

27 Rather a cold day. Enid and Reuel & Walter out for the day. Reuel & Enid went up to the baby’s funeral. We were not wanted. Baptist chuch at night. They had named the baby Miriam.
28 Lovely day. In bed until dinner time. Not doing much. WCTU at Mrs Wyand. Didn’t go.
29 Just a perfect day, very warm. Ernest at turnips. Elmer Fyfe here in evening.
30 Not so warm to-day and heavy fog this evening. Ernest finished turnips. Everything in but parsnips. Ellice over in afternoon.
31 Dense fog. Ernest ploughing in afternoon. Allen Wyand & Katie celebrated their 30th anniversary. Had a very nice time. Pauline to the charivari.
Nov 1st Just a perfect lovely day all day long.
Nov 1935
1 I took Anna for a drive to Rustico, called on Mrs Bernard, Doyles and had tea at Ben Woolners. YPS at Rustico.
2 Cloudy and started raining at noon and poured in afternoon. Quite warm. Nothing doing.
3 Colder to-day. United Church at night. Arthur Mr & Mrs Wright brought Lorraine home.
4 Nice day. Girls washed in AM. Ernest working around garden cleaning up rubbish. No news.
5 Cloudy most of day, not cold. Ironing and knitting. Dance at Freds and Orange banquet at Jerrys. Willie Toombs & Charlie Pink in this evening.

6 Very warm sticky wet day. Ernest cleaned sink drain. The rest of us knitting. No news. Dance at Tennis’s to-night.
Shipped 6 hogs.
7 Very nice day. Ernest thrashing at Hams. Ellice & Austin went to Carleton, took seven little pigs down to Keith. Went over to John Fs this afternoon. Choir practice here at night.
8 Fine and not very cold. Ernest thrashing at Hams and ploughed garden in afternoon. YPS at JL Le Pages. Girls went with Mr Paterson. Dad & I spent the evening at McCoubreys.
9 Colder but a lovely day. Mrs Albert came up in the afternoon. Ernest and Howard
