17 Splendid day. Harrowing. M Green here shingling. Girls papering. Goslings hatching Reuels called. Have a new car.
18 Raining in AM. fencing pond field Roy brought Lorraine home cold north east wind at night Anita and Pauline at McCoubreys YPS.

19 Lovely morning but very cold in afternoon. Ernest met me at Emerald and we got about 7:30. Left Margaret and Keith well and very busy. Had a lovely visit. Girls have everything shining and paper is very pretty. Cold to-night.
20 Very nice morning early but raining by evening. Alvin came down at noon. Ham here nearly all day. Dad & I went down to see Jennie Bob and called on Alex. Girls & Alvin had tea at Ben Woolners.
21 Cold as Greenland. Anita went to O’Leary with Alvin. Marion sewing. PJ sprained her ankle. Peg & I walked over to Ellices Dad & Jim O up to Ferguson’s.
22 Still very cold. Cloudy all day and thunder and heavy rain to-night. Washed, churned and made soap. Dad at Hall to practice Mr. Paterson’s mother died before he could reach home.

23 Finer to-day. Marion sewing. I cleaned back porch. Ernest harrowing. C. Chior practice here at night. Everybody tired.
Arbor Day
24 Lovely day. Out in garden all day nearly. Dad harrowing. Oratorical Contest at Freetown to-night. Marion went with Ernie McLure & Sadie.
25 Lovely day. Ernest and Lorraine went to town with Roy Toombs to Convocation. Lorraine came 10th on the list of second yr students. Lewis Woolner 1st, Dorothy 4th, Wanda 9th. Planting stuff in garden. YPS at Ben Woolners.
26 70A this AM. Sowed field behind the barn. Marjorie Enman Simpson has scarlet fever, is quite sick. CGIT girls gave Mrs Paterson an address and book and this and served ice cream & cake at the Manse. Everyone tired to-night.
27 76A. 78. Just a glorious day, very warm. Alvin and Anita got home at 1.30 PM. Baptist Church in afternoon and YPS service at Clifton at night. Ham here all the evening. Dad & PJ went for gaspereau.
28 76A. Lorraines birthday. Very warm and quite a breeze. Anita and I washed. Ernest sowing Mr. & Mrs. Ben Woolner here for a little while to-night.
29 Still very warm and dry, terrible fires in Northern New Brunswick and very smoky here
