6  in the evening went to Gertrude Lamont for the evening.

 

7  36A. Lovely morning. Anita & Lorraine & Miller went up for Mother and took her home at night. Baptist Church in afternoon. At night Lewis Evelyn Eric & Elmer arrived for evening etc and on into the AM. Lovely day all day.

 

8  SE & E wind. Washed but it started to snow about 10 AM and stormed until 5 PM. Churned and the most of us had a nap. Dance at Bruce Grahams to-night.

 

9  Fine and not very cold. Got clothes out early and dried. Lorraine packing her suitcase. Turned very cold at night but calm.

 

10  10B here and 22B at Hunter River. Dad took Lorraine to Station. Very frosty but a fine day. Anna here in afternoon and Gertrude Lamont and three kiddies here to supper. Some day.

 

11  Milder again. Temp up to 35A but a ground drift going and roads bad. Marion sewing for Nellie. Canning [?] 17 bottles. Wrote to Irene Clarke.

 

12  Colder this morning blowing hard and drifting. YPS at Wyands at night. Herb came and in afternoon to get inititated into doing barn work and stayed all night. Wind NW.

13  Not a bad day, cloudy but not so very frosty. Erenst went to H. River with Bobby on his way to Town. Herb Anita and Pauline went to Stanley to Rink. Got home about 12:40 AM pretty cold.

 

14  Storming all day from East. Not very much frost. No preaching but a dandy day for resting and letter writing. Turned colder to-night.

 

15  Wind blowing hard and around zero all day. Drifting and not fit to break roads. Marion braiding a mat. Not much else done. No school. Irene in town. No mail.

 

16  Zero. Lovely fine day. Moderated. Anita washed and I hung out clothes and puttered around outside. Very cold at night again. Heavy white frost.

 

17  Very cold bleak morning. Not feeling very well. Ernest got home about noon. Institute at Ben Woolners to-night. Sleepy tired.

 

18  Cold, zero at night and blowing hard and drifting all day. Anna over helping us quilt. Marion Martha washing too. Garden quilt. Tired at night.

 

19  10B. Didn’t sleep much. Cold all day. Snowing at night. YPS at Manse. Quilting.

 

20  8B. Mighty cold all day and zero again to-night. Quilting. Drifting all day

 

21  10B here and 14B at Will Grahams. Kept very cold all day. Ernest went over for Ellice after dinner.
