New girl at Cedric Simpsons on the 6th
6 at night. Ernest has Edgar (Jack) in the woods. Getting around 10 eggs a day. Price last week 40 c.
7 Colder and snowing a little. Ernest sawing wood at Jerrys this afternoon. Heard that Fred Clarkes has been raided and 147 gallons of rum and two cases whiskey found. Too bad for the community to say nothing of Fred.
8 Keiths birthday. Nice day. YPS at Jerrys. Miss Bateson of Carnegie Library there.
9 Nice in AM but got dirty in afternoon. Ernest went to Creek and I went with him as far as Campsies[?]. Very chilly wind. Lt Gov Dalton died.
10 Snow storm, turned to rain in afternoon. Quiet Sunday. No preaching. Turned cold in night.
11 12A in AM and 20A to-night. First fine clear night for weeks and weeks. Killed ten geese to-day. Girls went to Wyands to practice for Christmas.
12 10A and blowing bitter cold. Just 6A to-night. Killed 26 chickens to-day. Davis Moffat paying 16c a lb. Averaged 7 ¼ lbs.
13 4B. Blowing hard and bitter cold. Busy keeping three fires on and getting ready for Institute at night. Not many here but had a good meeting.
14 Still very cold. Had a letter from Maud telling of Chesters marriage in Nov 1932.

14 Pretty blue worried letter which made us all feel bad.
15 YPS at Willie Toombs. Too cold for girls to drive. Everyone busy. Men working in woods.
No 3 boy at Cecils
16 Grey and cold but moderated in afternoon. CGIT in afternoon. Clemmie over to play with Nellie. Ernest & I went down to Lornes in evening. Wind bleak, roads bad.
17 Nice morning, United Church in AM. CGIT Vesper service in evening. Vera Simpson here.
18 Cloudy AM. Washed. Snow storm from SE. Everybody busy.
19 Nice day early. Got clothes out and half dried. Practice here at night for Christmas music. Got letter from Keith that Margaret is quite sick. Ellice got phone M has pleurisy.
20 Not nice day. Roads drifted full. Ernest went to Rustico in AM and school exam in evening. Getting cards and letters written. What a life. Jerry & Anna sick.
21 Howling snow storm. Ernest could not get to school. Bobbie came and folks broke the road for him. Not very frosty, but a lot of snow down. Margaret better.
22 Fine morning but clouded over. Very chilly and terrible roads. Ernest went to Hunter River for Lorraine. Busy day decorating for YPS Christmas tree. About 45 here.
23 8A. Lovely morning and bright all day, the 1st sunshiny day for two months. Everybody very weary. Anita made a sultana cake. Choir practice at Wyands at 10 PM. 2A.
