iron and churned. Ellice over for a while in afternoon. Boys here in evening for practice for play.
25 Fine all day. Play practice at night. Ernest splitting wood. Up to-day and out. Side not good.
26 Poured rain, wind south east. Marion sewing. Anita finished one braided mat and started another. Working on my Dresden quilt.
27 Fine, blew very hard all night and quite cool all day. Cemetery Comm meeting at John Lairds. Geo McCoubrey has care of cemetery for $34.00. Play practice at night. Not feeling very good.
28 Fine day. Feeling punk. Went over to Austins in car with Ernest when he went to Mayfield. Roads drying in places. YPS at Wyands. Girls walked.
29 Poured rain until about 3PM. Roads pretty muddy. Almost finished Dresden plate quilt. Went up to play practice at night. Very tired.
30 Lovely day, Sunday School started. Feeling rotten all day. Ernest Clarke and wife here in evening practicing music for play.
May 1st Lovely day, blowing hard. Hester and Mary here sewing on girls dress for play. Tired. Ernest went to Mayfield with Ham.
2 Still blowing hard and very warm. Mary here sewing. Ernest finished splitting wood. 45 chicks in incubator. Play practice.

3 76A. Very warm all day. Rained a little in evening. Planted a few shallots and some lettuce. Ham here in evening.
4 Foggy and turned very cold. Pouring rain by noon. Fine to-night but blowing hard wind nor’west. Practice at night.

5 Bitter cold and blowing hard all day. Mary McNeill very sick and twin boys born about 5 PM. One died that night and the other the next morning. YPS at church.
6 Still very cold in morning but warmer in afternoon. Stewart Wrights brought Keith and Margaret up had supper here and K & M came back here for night practice in Hall.

7 Lovely and fine but wind cold. United Church in morning. Wrights, Ellice, & Annie Margaret & Keith here for supper. Alf Simpson called in evening.
8 Fine but very cold wind. Mary Lorne keeping better. Washed. Marion at Hall in afternoon. Anita visited school and she and Ernest went to Institute at Dolph Flemings at night. Sports out for first time.
9 Very fine all day. Heavy white frost at night. Valley Farm play at Cavendish. Good crowd made $45.80. Alvin & Alton Webb came down. Everybody satisfied and tired.
