Grade VIII Exams in Mayfield school. Pauline, Mable, Freda, Jan Isabelle Herb W and Eric Simpson
17 Mrs McCoubreys. YPS at Mrs Paynters. All the gang gone. Ernest went with Austin to an egg circle meeting at Rustico Bank.
18 Lovely fine day. Everybody busy. Ernest hauling lumber. Pauline passed her exams alright so far as corrected. Girls went to Town to-night with Eric Bell. Had a little drive, was down to see Jean.
19 Lovely fine day, quite warm, very dusty. Had a quiet day. Annie Lowther here to tea. Mr Bishops last service in Cavendish.
20 Fine and warm, very smokey. Feeling rotten. Girls washed. Ernest hauling lumber. Irene and Eva here this evening.
21 Fine and hot. Keith took steer over to Hazel Grove and Anita went to Hunter River for him. Kids had a clam bake at shore. Floyd came for Jean. School meeting.
22 Very warm day. Got young cattle moved down to shore field. Young People’s Society painting the Manse fence. Started to rain about 4 PM and poured at times till after midnight. Ended with a terrific thunder storm.
23 Grand glowing day. Girls cleaning big hall upstairs and decided it had to be papered. Ernest hauling lumber. Keith at Manse in afternoon. Eric took us

23 to Rustico in evening. Wind cold. Everything growing.
24 Showery and much colder. Had a drive to Harolds in afternoon. Ernest and girls papered upstairs hall. YPS Picnic and meeting here in afternoon and evening.
25 Lovely day but wind cool. Weeding in evening. Girls varnished bed room and hall floor. Went for drive to Creek with Ernest and Winnie and stayed there for tea. Girls moved bedding to cottage and slept there. YPS finished painting Manse fence.
26 Lovely day. Orange Parade in afternoon. Alvin and Bann[?] Webb came along about 3:30. Was to the shore. Alvin Ernest and girls to Rustico church at night. Mr Bishops last Sunday.
27 Lovely day. Everybody busy. Girls washed and cleaned back porch. Mr. Ben Woolner up in afternoon to Jerrys and here. Preston Warrens and Mrs Warren here in evening.
28 Lovely fine day after a heavy shower in the AM. Mr & Mrs Bishop here to dinner and were to start for Woodstock NB. Everybody feeling sorry. Saw Dr Claude on our way into Harolds.
29 Fine day. Girls went to town with Andrew. Mrs Fred fixing my red dress. Very tired at night.
