19 Quite a freshet here today at noon. Ernest got quarter of beef from Lorne. Irene Wyand here for over Sunday. James Simpson very low.
20 Lovely morning early but clouded up and snowed some in afternoon and blowing a gale and drifting to-night. Keith walked to New Glasgow to-night. Anna and Mrs Bishop over this morning. Marion pretty miserable. Keith got home early, did not get all the way. Zuingle McNeill died.

21 Blowing very hard and very cold. Anita went to Mrs Wyands to get her coat made over. James Simpson at the mill died at 9:45 PM. Got a box chocolate from Miss Hiscox.

22 Still blowing hard but not as cold to-night. Keith and Anita went to New Glasgow to skate. Alf Simpson here quite a while this afternoon.
23 Fine day. James Simpson’s funeral in afternoon. Very sick all day. Jean Smith Alex McN[?] and Jerry here. Better in evening. Lovely night. Anita & Keith went skating on Clarkes pond.
24 Lovely day but wind cold. Lorne in for a few minutes in morning.

24 Bob and Jennie up this afternoon. Very tired at night. Fire at Jim Stewart’s but not serious.
25 Just a perfect day all day. Irene and Sarah Simpson came to see me and Winnie came over. Girls & Keith & Avalah went into Wyands to-night. Robert Bulman & Ben Houston died to-day.

26 Fine to-day but cloudy. Men sawing wood. Mrs Wyand here to-night. Everybody tired.
27 Lovely day. Anita went up to Wilburs this AM. Mrs Wilbur sick. The two funerals to-day. Anita & Thyra went to Stanley for medicine. Bad road, nearly all bare. Very quiet here to-day and the girls are very lonely.
28 Snowing a little. Feeling pretty well in forenoon but the shock of Marnie Keiths death used me up terribly. Just got the word in the mail to day. Also letter from Mother. Emily McNeill, Mrs Chester Laird here this afternoon & Dr. Stevenson Anna & Jerry over at night.
29 Rather a dirty day, mist and snow. Anita washed white clothes. Was out in room all afternoon. Keith and Anita started for New Glasgow and turned back to-night. May & Alex up this evening.
