21 Just a perfect day. Men at hay all day. Girls picking berries. Boarders at shore. Everybody tired to-night.
22 Lovely day very warm. Over a hundred and twenty cars at shore. Mr Bonnell preached to-night Lorriane & Pauline went to Tryon with Roy Toombs.
23 Fine all day but raining this evening. The MacNeills left to-day. Working at hay.
24 Rained a lot to-day. Marion and I went up to Bay View to see the new baby. I got sick and Cecil had to bring me home. Martha Clark died yesterday. Artie was out.
25 Lovely day. Nan & I went for berries. Mrs. Bulman here making Marion’s suit. Practice at church to-night for funeral.
26 Lovely day. Myron and Elaine brought the children home. Mr LIndsay and the MacWalkers here to supper. Martha Clarke buried. Large funeral.
27 Lovely day. Finished hay. Miss Robertson and Miss Kenedy came here from Windsor Ontario and we have discovered that they know a member of our MacNeill relations in Ontario. Mrs Brown and Eleanor came.
July 1928
28 Cloudy. Went to Town with Cecil. Had a flying trip and had to dig in when I came home. Marion went to Canoe Cove with the Bishops.
29 Very busy all day and went to Church at night. Lena McLure sang in Baptist Church. Mr & Mrs. EO Hemsteet from Montreal came wanting to spend night and a few days here.
30 Lovely day. Mr. Hemstreet took the girls to Charlottetown. Myron and Elaine up picking raspberries. Big machine working on road. Everybody busy and oh so tired. Went over to John F McNeill with the girls (Misses Kenedy & Robertson) at night.
31 Fine day. Annie washed and ironed. Marion and I picking berries. Went over to Jerrys in evening.
August 1st First four of our boarders left. We were very much in love with all of them. Miss Harvey and Miss Hiscox came to-night. Very tired.
2 Lovely day tho’ cloudy in the morning. Not feeling very good. Girls at Wyands to-night. Mrs Best of Stanley found dead in cellar.
3 Lovely day picking berries. Very thick.
