in town. Had a bad road coming home. Mother came out with them.
21 Rained hard until noon. Had rain all night. Maud and boys went down to Alex’s this afternoon. Pretty tired and lots of work ahead.
22 Cloudy in morning but cleared up in afternoon. Did a big washing. Ernest went to Hunter River for truck wagon. Mrs Livesay here this evening also Miss Sutherland of Winnepeg.
23 Very warm all day. Miss Edwards went away with this morning. Everyone exhausted with the heat. Thunder in afternoon.
24 Very hot all day. Everybody tired to-day and rested. Marion up at Herbs all day. Pouring rain to-night.
25 Fine, washed. Blowing hard. Went up to Mother’s this evening. Lots of company here to-night. Gertrude down.
26 Very fine all day and very hot. Ernest went to Emerald with cheese. Maud up in afternoon to tea. George McCoubrey sprayed potatoes this evening. Elaine & Myron came home.
27 87 today, the hottest yet. Started haying. The Jacksons, Sears, and Brintons here this evening.
28 Fine in AM but a little shower at noon.
July 27 & Aug
28 Quite heavy thunder away to the south. Miss Moore over this evening.
29 Fine though threatened rain. Myron & Elaine down to supper. Mrs. Brown & Eleanor came to-night.
30 Hauling hay. I got about 7 qts of raspberries. YP Group had a surprise party for Marion. Russel & Alvin Webb here at night. Tired.
31 Fine very warm. Had quite a sing with Alvin. Mr Armstrong preached at night. Big crowd out.
Aug 1st Raining in AM. Cleared up at noon and Myron took Marion to Kensington and brought Alice Grey home. Marion went to Toronto with Maud.
2 Raining, terrible hay weather. Dad had George spray potatoes again. Raspberries good.
3 Lovely day. Keith cutting and everybody busy at hay. Gordon and Lydie came about 6 PM. Myron and Elaine & Leona here to dinner and went back for berries.
4 Perfect day. Gordon caught mess of trout for dinner. Girls got nice lot of blueberries, went to Creek with Mrs Bonnell.
5 Fine everybody rushing all day. Great hay day.
