1 Fine day. Ernest killed hogs. Group here at night. Big crowd 49 here. Mrs Jackson has a small carbuncle on nose.
2 Lovely day. Ernest went to Hunter River with pork. Marion went to Rustico. Dr. Stevenson here to see Mrs. J
Rupert Simpson lost $260.00 on road to H.R.
3 Perfect day. Ernest & I went to Bay View in AM. Lorne took Mr. J the round to-day. Ernest & Mrs J & I went down to Alberts in evening.
First robins seen here.
4 Perfect day. Washed, churned, baked, made pickle & pancakes. Tired. Practice here to-night for temperance meeting to-morrow night.
5 Perfect day. Keith went to Hunter River for Rev AA McLeod who spoke on Temperance. Prohibition in the Church at night. Mr McLeod here over night.
6 Up at 4 AM. Wesley took Mr McLeod away. Started to rain about 10 and pouring rain all afternoon and to-night. Keith at Cecil’s.
7 Lovely day. Finished piecing pink & white quilt. Lorne & Mellie & Arthur here this evening.
8 Regular howler snow storm. Keith took Arthur up to Jim Stewarts and stayed at Cecil’s all day. Made potted meat.
9 Cold and blustery all day. Mrs. Dr. Fleming buried to-day, she died the 5th in City hospital. Keith took Marion to Rustico. Busy all day and tired.
10 Cold blustery day. Church in afternoon. Emily
Platts Blanche Wyand and Arthur Woolner here to tea. New calf.
11 Miserable day, snowy and blowy. Anita started back to school. Is taking up branches. Dad down to Alex’s. Clipping horses.
12 Lovely day. Washed. Put in pink & white quill. Big dance at Fenners. Letters from Marie Keith and Will Webb. Thawing a lot.
13 Fine again but wind cold. Anita & Mrs J. went to barbers at Rustico. Mr. J has another boil No. 8 Marion & I went over to Jerry’s.
14 Fine but wind bitter cold. Ice in solid. Did not thaw any to-day. Quilting. Group at McLures.
15 Fine day. Finished quilting. Group at McLures. Good Friday, no mail. Mrs Art Simpson sick. Nerves.
16 Fine. Marion went to Rustico. Dad started sorting out sewing room. Not feeling very good.
17 Easter Sunday. Ham took Mr J to Rustico & Stanley. Went up to Bay View to-night with wood sleigh. Bad road.
18 Just perfect day all day. Marion cleaned her room and Dad cleaned store room. Marjorie Clarke here to tea.
19 Fine day. Mrs J. washed. Marion ironed. Warm spring day. Bessie Stewart here to-night. Ernest & K. cleaned grain.
