27 Sunday. Glorious rain this forenoon. Cleared up and lovely evening. Ernest, Lorraine, & PJ and I went to shore. Cool to-night.
28 Thunder squall at noon to-day. Very heavy in Ch Town. Aslyum struck. Very heavy hail and rain. Not much rain here. Washed. Tired.
Mrs. Dolph Fleming has baby girl.
29 Keith went to town with Geo McCoubrey for cheese boxes. Terrible gale in afternoon. Busy all day. Ernest fencing. Terrific thunderstorms in the night.
30 Mrs Joe Stewart died this morning at Prince County Hospital after an operation for tumor, terrible shock to everybody. School exam. Webbs all there. Lorraine got three prizes. Anita her P.S. certificate & PJ a box of paints. Mother & Cecil down this evening.
Vern’s wedding day.
July 1 Lovely day all day. A great many cars on the go. Ernest working in cemetery. Mr & Mrs Ernest Duvar Ivan[?] Addie & Eric & Maud here this afternoon. Prowse Bros stove, ladies department caught fire and Mr Prowse was out fishing. Some hustle for awhile.
2 Very warm to-day. Very large funeral. Mr. Bonnell spoke. Got letter from Elaine & Lizzie. They are coming down to-morrow. Keith and George went
to the Boy Camp at Margate. Got Delineators from Maud. Girls went to Rustico.
3 Threatened rain in am. Very heavy thunder somewhere to-night. Lizzie, Elene, Kenneth & Isobell here to-night. Elaine & Kenneth & Marion & Anita went to town this afternoon.
4 Sunday. Lovely day, quite cool. Mr. Bonnell preached in United Church to-night. Very big crowd there.
5 Vern’s birthday. Expect they come home Sat night. The O’Leary bunch went home to-day. Dad & I went to Creek. Got oil cloth for spare room. Marion sick.
6 Fine, washed, hauling lumber to mill. Marion not feeling well. Tired to-night.
7 Fine day, quite cool. Busy all day. Ernest, Mrs. Fred, & I went to Margate with Mr. Bonnell to the Boys Camp. Keith came home with Cecil.
First strawberries for tea
8 Cold but fine. Marion & Waine & PJ. got a nice pan of strawberries. Ice cream festival at Mayfield to-night.
9 Fine and cool. Peter Murray here. Hoeing mangels. Sewing. Over to Anna’s awhile this evening. Hannah McKenzie has a new baby born 7th.
