3 Cold wind but fine. Keith at Greens, turnips. Ernest helping Jerry this afternoon. Mr Kochaly speak in Pres. C to-night. 3 kiddies went.
4 Fine day. Ernest & K. spreading manure. Dad & I went down to Hammond McKenzies to-night. Got some dry cod fish. Froze hard all day.
5 Just one perfect day all day. K. at Fred’s this afternoon. Institute at Mother’s to-night. My head tired. Feel mean.
6 Fine. Milder. House cleaned my room. Beads came from Maud, Y.P.P.G. at Chester Woolners to-night.
7 Fine day. Rupert Simpson took Keith, Ira & Upton up to Kensington to Boy Conference. Ernest finished plowing.
8 Rained a little in forenoon. Mr. Aitken preached in AM. Mr Tyndall in afternoon. Thanksgiving service in New Glasgow to-night.
9 Lovely day. Killed 17 of Keith’s chickens. K. at John F’s sawing wood this afternoon. The 3 oldest at Wyands to-night.
10 Fine in morning but big snow squall in afternoon. Mr Nash, poultry promoter was to speak
in Mayfield Hall. Keith’s chickens weighed 95 lbs at 25 cents.
11 Fine day. Quite cold in AM. Ground white but all the snow gone to-night. Sold 8 ½ doz eggs to-day. Baked for a missionary meeting.
12 Fine day. Ernest went to Hunter River with spuds. I went to Wheatley River at night to an institute meeting with Alex McNeills.
13 Lazy to-day. Keith helping thrash at Jerry’s. Pouring rain to-night.
14 Did not rain much to-day. Quite mild. Marion got her third hat. Practice at Fenners to-night. Mother and Cecil went to town. Had car trouble and are in Milton to-night. Lorraine at Wesley’s.
15 Showery in AM. Cecil & Mother got home about 4 PM. Mr Tyndall preached to-night. Very good.
16 Cloudy and poured rain all afternoon. Ploughed the gardens & below K’s henhouse to-day. Fine to-night and blowing a gale.
17 Blowing a gale, with snow. Flurries. Keith harrowing. Marion went over to Jerry’s to tea & class to-night.
