1  Fine, warm, finished hay. Marion picked some cherries at Freds and gooseberries in swamp field. Everybody glad that tomorrow is Sunday.

 

2  Sunday. Fine, cloudy. Herb Toombs preached in Pres C. in afternoon. Ella Champion Henry etc. are here, picnic back lane. I went over to help Anna after tea.

 

3  Very hot all day. Washed & picked berries. Ernest & K. whitewashed hen house.

 

4  Fine, hot. Anita came home from O’Leary. Keith & Marion went to H.R. to meet Helen Mellish but she didn’t come. Gordon’s crowd here for supper. Ice cream social and lecture at church by Mr. Green missionary.

 

5  86 degrees. Very hot all day. Sewing. Ernest hauling logs to mill. Supper in old orchard.

 

6  84 degrees. Fine, warm, hazy. Girls got a few blueberries. Had blueberry pudding for dinner.

 

7  Cooler to-day. Ernest & K. working at hen house. Sewing. Mother at Greens. Nothing doing. Blanche Robertson called this evening. Pouring rain to-night, has been showery all day.

 

8  Rained hard all day. Mother at Greens again. New baby girl there no.2. Mr & Mrs Harris Anita, Jerry and Eleanor here this evening. I was at Mother’s all day.

9  Sunday. Beautiful after the rain. Went to North Rustico to church to-night.

 

10  Fine, very warm. Washed. Maria came just after dinner. Elaine, Myron, Isabel R, Helen Mellish came up from Montague. Pretty busy afternoon. Dad & I went to Rustico at night. Saw Edna Doiron Currie.

 

11  Very warm all day. Bright lightning at night. Mr. Bonnell spoke in P. Church. Maria & I got some raspberries and the girls got blueberries.

12  Much cooler to-day and quite fall like to-night. Meeting of church to-night. Parsonage sold to Mr Green. Children in at Wyands.

 

13  Perfect day. Ernest, Mima, Jerry, Anna & Wilbur went to town.

 

14  Fine, warm, sultry, Mima & I went up to Ced’s. Pouring rain to-night.

 

15  Fine after the rain. The family minus Nan & Hebert & Mima went up to sand hills for a picnic. Very warm and very tired.

 

16  Sunday. Preaching this morning. Very hot day. Reuel brought Nan home. Judson Simpson crowd here in afternoon. Big crowd at shore.
