21 Perfect day, clear, wind cool but still it thawed quite a lot. Ernest finished door between two big rooms. Heifer had a calf. Cemetery meeting at Alex McNeil’s, John Laird & Ernest tendered both $50. Practice at Preston’s for MacDougall affair. I went up with Hester. Road bad.
22 Sunday. Another lovely day. Keith & Kiddies & I had a glorious tramp back though Jerry’s wood down through our own. Very very tired when I got home. Wrote to Aunt Sed & Minna.
23 Cloudy in AM. Wind N. Did a great big washing. Mrs Eustis came for her dinner. Anna there in PM. Very tired. First black bird.
24 Lovely fine day but wind cold. Closed fences across field. Finished ironing. Dad & Keith working in woods. Ernest & Winnie brought the arch home. Freezing a little.
25 Everything covered with white frost or frozen fog. Wind south. Keith went with Austin to Jim Andrews with a heifer. Waine, P.J & I went over to John F’s. Lovely spring evening.
Dad saw a robin this evening.
26 S all day until evening then came north with a very dense fog. Had a little affair for Mr. McDougall at night at Fred’s. Gave him a purse of $22. Had a very pleasant time. Roads are pretty bad, bad drain at our gate.
Jessie Stewart, Mrs Darnley’s sister died this morning.

27 Just a perfect day all day. Ernest, P.J. & I went up to see Mother this afternoon. Some spots on the road are drying, others pretty muddy and along by Graham’s there is quite a bit of snow. K & Nan went up to Reve Toombs to Y.P.P.G. Lovely night, starlight and springlike.
28 E. Just one perfect cloudless day but the wind cold. Heavy white frost. Ernest went to Hunter River for our wall paper & paint. House cleaning to-day. Cemetery meeting to-night.
29 E wind, foggy, and misty all day. Mr. Aitkins preached in AM.
30 SE wind and rain nearly all day. Mrs Eustis here. Papered Marion’s room and went up to B.V. to church meeting at night. Terrible roads.
31 E wind and a regular downpour of rain. Papered the parlor ceiling and part of the wall. Went to bed at dark.
April 1st Misty this morning but cleared up lovely this afternoon. Keith sawing wood at Jerry’s. Anna here this afternoon papering. The heavy rain has helped the roads.
2 SE & NE. a lovely bright day. Business rushing around here. Mrs. Eustis here washing. Dad churned. Ham came to split wood. Sawed wood in afternoon. Mother came down with Cecil in afternoon.
3 NE. Miserable damp day all day. Peter & K. splitting. Ernest painting all day rooms, ceiling, and pantry,
