6  Lovely day all day. In bed all day with headache. Keith & Anita went to Rustico tonight.

 

7  Another fine day. Head bad till noon. Went with Ernest to call on Mrs Austin Laird. Perfect night.

 

8  40A. Perfect day all day and quite mild. Mother & Cecil came down in the afternoon. Ernest, Lorraine & PJ and myself went up to Ced Simpsons to-night and then to Mothers. Radio poor tonight. Keith & Nan went to Jerrys. Eclipse of moon.

 

9  34A. Mild, Miss Eustis here and did a big washing and days work. Big dance at Simons (at Billy P’s).

 

10  48A. At noon to-day. The first thaw we have had this winter. Cecil went to town. Keith is up there. Stanley Bridge Factory meeting in afternoon. Fred Clark & Hester down in the evening.

 

11  Mild again to-day. Cecil got home tonight. Roads bad.

 

12  45A. Very mild and foggy all day. Raining hard to-night. Terrible freshet at brook. Roads bad bad. Dad had to cut our wire fence in the hollow to get the children home from school.

 

13  40A. This morning but down to freezing to-night. A great clean up of the snow. Canned fowl to-day.

14  Just a perfect day all day. Very bad roads. Dad and I went over to Jerry’s in evening. I had a walk after supper to Fenners Line. Fields all clean and bare.

 

15  Sunday. A lovely day. Pres. preaching in afternoon. Nan went to Wilburs after church and Thyra came down and stayed all night. Pouring rain to-night.

 

16  Wonderful weather for Feb. The thermometer has hardly been below freezing for over a week. 42A at noon. Lovely and warm like April weather. Had a few folks in, planning for JF’s golden wedding anniversary. John F. caught a red fox in trap.

 

17  Still fine and warm. Keith and Ernest working in woods. New calf this evening. Dance at Albert McNeill’s last night.

 

18  Fine but colder. Busy getting ready for Institute at Freds. I was on lunch committee. Had quite a good meeting, lots of fun. Anna & Mrs Irving had papers on an ideal home.

 

19  Pretty frosty this morning. Alfred Moore got his team with load of mud in the creek, got them out again with some help. Ethel Wyand, Nan & K. have gone up to BV to hear the radio. Blowing but not very cold to-night. Wind S.W.
