11  after dinner. Had a wonderful day. Took Gordon home and brought him back again. Everyone tired and all sleepy. A lot of tourists around.

 

12  Very hot day. Ted, Anna Gordan and Ernest went to O’Leary. Isobel and Marion Brinton here Ellice over in evening. Orange Tea at Gambles Corner, near Tryon.

 

13  Lovely day, very dry again. Mr. Brownlie took the family out fishing and they had a wonderful day. YPS at shore.

 

14  Very hot day, cloudy most of day. George & Amanda celebrated their 25 Anniversary. Quite a crowd and everyone had a very nice time.

 

15  Cloudy most of day but very hot and dry. Ernest Gordon and Alvin arrived about 2 PM, Arthur Keith & Margaret came along a little later. Gang went to Woolners to sing song.

 

16  Threatened rain but didn’t. Big washing. Anita went to Town with Mrs. Bonnell. Mr & Mrs Brownlie and Wesley went away and Mr. & Mrs. Timmins and Adele arrived. Justice Ellsworth Lawrence & wife and son and wife and a Mr & Mrs. Cameron here to-night. Ernest went to Kingston with Jack Bulman.

17  Cooler to-day. Miss Clark and Mrs. Russel of Toronto arrived this afternoon. Also Mr and Mrs Heegbee and Mrs Heegbee Sr. Went to Harolds to-night for supplies.

 

18  The Heegbees went fishing and caught 80 mackerel. Miss Smith and Miss Jackson camping behind Cottage. Reg McNeill & Willard Caseley called with some folks from Town.

 

19  Lovely day after last nights shower. Western Union picnic at Bedeque yesterday and some young fry went and Lorraine came home with them. Finished cleaning cottage. Choir practice here to-night.

 

20  Glorious rain just now and much needed. Mr & Mrs. Irvin arrived to-night. Been a rather trying day, blowing so hard and hot. YPS at Charlie McK. shore. Miss Smith & Jackson took our girls. Potato bugs bad. Very heavy thunder storm. Freds ranch struck and a tree at Max Fergusons.

 

21  Very warm day. Ernest sprayed potatoes for bugs. Everything fresh after the rain. Picked first sweet peas. Everyone tired to-night

 

22  Pretty busy day. Mr & Mrs Hayden and maid and baby came last night so we had fourteen for dinner. Baptist church in afternoon. Mrs. Joe Rankin here to see Ernest
