10 Fine in AM but a glorious rain to-night. Busy all day. Ernest took load of lumber to mill in afternoon. Got cheque from Maud for my trip to Toronto.
11 Glorious rain all night and until about 8 PM and just spilling again to-night. Dad & I went to Bay View this afternoon. K. went to Rustico & Mont and girls are up at Freds.
12 Raining this morning but cleared up lovely. Washed and scrubbed upstairs. Girls got a nice lot of wild strawberries. Blanche & Irene here this evening. Everything growing good since rain.
13 Lovely day. Ernest went to Emerald with cheese and with Cecil to Hunter River for Eaton order. Camp fire at shore to-night. Mrs. Brewer giving a little talk to the Group.
14 Cloudy to-day and a glorious rain to-night. Vern & Beatrice came about 3:30. Pretty glad to see them. Very busy to-day. Marion not well.
15 Fine Very busy all day. Institute at Mothers. Hester & I went up. Ham & Kenneth Hopgood here in evening. Some joke. XYZ.
16 Very warm, very busy. Our boarders, Miss Spence and Miss Edwards arrived.
Enid & Reuel have a new baby boy.
16 Vern & Beatrice went up to Mother’s to-night.
17 Very miserable all day and night. Anita has charge of boarders. Blowing a gale.
18 Still blowing hard. Had Fleming down in morning. All the O’Leary McNeills, Perley & Ray and Vern and their wives, Aunt Sadie, Mother & Cecil here to supper. Vern preached at night. Heavy thunder squall.
19 Poured rain all day, regular N.Easter. Ernest set out about 200 cabbage plants. Feeling a little better.
20 Perfect morning after the rain. Ernest & Marion washed and I helped a little more to-day. Aunt Sadie Vern & Bea down to tea. Had a walk to deep hollow and down west lane. Irene Leard came to-day.
21 Busy day ironing. Vern and Bea down to tea. Aunt Sadie here all day. We had a car ride in the evening.
22 Vern Bee & Aunt Sadie started to O’Leary very hot 89 degrees this afternoon. Committee meeting at Jerry’s about banquet. Vivian Armstrong here.
23 Rained in morning, but cleared up and was lovely in afternoon. Ice cream festival in manse grounds.
