17 Wrote letters, Charlie here in evening.
18 Men came in the morning with their car. Roads bad.
19 Schurmans truck down to-day from Summerside, bad road. Mr Smith brought Don and Heber out from town. Came from Rustico via the park road.
20 Taking cold and feeling rotten. Girls washed and clothes didn’t dry at all. Went to bed about four o’clock.
21 In bed all day. Fine and men working, not very cold.
22 Snow on ground this morning. Messers Campbell Paynter and Don went to Summerside. So we had an easy day. Feeling a little better. Girls at church in afternoon.
23 A nice day. Ernest got our Christmas tree. Made doughnuts in afternoon. Girls at Church two afternoons. Men quit work early. Got Nans & Mauds photo.
24 S. I knit most of day and finished a pair of gloves for Heber. CGIT girls put on a Christmas service. Mr Tilley spending Christmas with his family in Montreal.
25 12. A cold grey day, very chill wind. Charlie and Heber spent the day with us and we had a nice turkey for dinner with all the fixin’s and plum pudding. The girls had a few in this evening for games.
26 A miserable cold day and drifting. Ernest went to Rustico in afternoon. Girls had a wee Christmas tree at Milton Greens. Rough night.
27 10 above and cold tho not snowing or drifting to-day. Men thinking

Charlotte McNeill Thomas dead also Emma Bell died in Washington D.C.
27 seriously of quitting work for a time.
28 10 above again this morning and 20 above to-night. Don and Mr Paynter here to-night. Mr P & Ernest went to Rustico with car over Park road. Got word to-day that Charlotte Thomas is dead.

29 16. A perfect day all day, not blowing hard, quite calm to-night. Don & Mr Paynter went to Kensington this afternoon so we are alone again with just Heber extra. Tired to-night. Girls and Heber at Alfreds this evening.
30th Not so fine to-day and a storm at night. Ernest went to Rustico in afternoon for meal. Williams brought a load of bricks from Summerside. Mrs Fred Clarke got home to day has been at Gertrudes for four weeks.
31 A very nice day. A little more snow fell in the night. Quite calm. Not feeling very good. Edward here to dinner and Marguerite in afternoon. Baptist Church at night.
