2  Very warm nice day. Girls went up for Mother. They went to Carleton and to Summerside in afternoon.

3  S. Raining to day and not much doing. Slept most of afternoon. Ernest 59 birthday. Roads bad, frost coming out. Mr Cavender did not get over to Baptist Church at night.

 

4  Bad road, men late getting here in morning. Roads very soft in places. Charlie took Gypsy to Nelson Orrs funeral.

 

5  Finer to-day and road firmer. Ernest went with Jack Stewart to Kensington & S. Side. Got 1 ½ tons hay at Bowness’s Kensington $14.00 a ton.

 

6  Fine day. Lorraine went to town with Mr Tilley for a present for Ben Grahams 50th anniversary. Mr Smith & Sutherland here this afternoon.

 

7  36A. Fine day and not cold. The road got pretty slippy this afternoon. PJ & I went up to Walter Weeks for apples. Charlie and Lorraine to choir practice at Bob McKenzies. A dance at Bruce Grahams to-night. The contractor putting in cement today.

 

8  A very mild day and rained quite hard. Quite like thirty years ago and a bad road. Keiths thirtieth birthday. The men didn’t come to work. Roads bad.

9  22A. Finer but colder and blowing a gale most of day. The men working at cement. B.B. & Mrs Graham celebrated their golden wedding anniversary. Ernest and Lorraine went. They gave them a very nice clock and smokers set.

10  S 28A. very nice morning, not blowing hard. Dad & I had a grand walk to the shore and over the course. Went to United Church at night, all walked.

 

11  Blowing and snowing a miserable day. Didn’t wash. Mr Shehan got here at noon. Roads will be bad. North East storm.

 

12  Mr Shehan working at cupboard. The contractors didn’t get back this week yet. Not so cold to-day and hail and rain at night.

 

13  Anita 28 to-day. A very good day but cloudy. Heber brought his suitcase this morning and will stay for a while. Girls making dresses for Ina & Louise and a dance at BB Grahams tonight.

 

14  Not a nice day. Rain and finally snow. Mr Shehan making a cover for tank in Attic. House a mess but whats the use trying to clean.

 

15  A lovely day tho colder. The men came to work this morning and we have five men extra to-night. Don Sutherland came this afternoon. Mr Paynter & Campbell here to-night. Heber & Mr Shehan.

 

16  16. Very fine day. Quite frosty in morning but temps went up to 30 by afternoon. Mr Sheehan finished work and went home. Don and Heber went to town and Dad and I drove to Rustico. Roads terrible. Snow piled high in places, other places bare.

 

17  S. Rained most of day and temp up to 40 in afternoon Heber & Don went to town in afternoon.
