rest of family went to town. Tired out.
9 S. A lovely day and nice and cool. Quite a number around in afternoon and evening. Keith & Margaret Wilbert & Martha here for supper. Alvin called in around 10 PM and Lorne & Mary after church.
10 A lovely day and quite warm at noon. Had 8 in for lunch. Girls did a big washing. Very tired all day. Cool to-night. Isabelle and Marion here for the night and are planning an early morning dip, breakfast at shore etc. Nettie Crosby of Lawrence, Mass here today and we had quite a chat.
11 A lovely cool day. Quite busy. Mr Smith here in afternoon. Girls had five for supper and two men at noon. CGIT girls had their sunrise hike and sold ice-cream at the ball game to-night.
12 Fine and quiet. Lorraine and I went to Rustico this morning and we had a very busy afternoon. Annie Earl here painting chairs and tables. Over fifty registered. 3 here for sandwich lunch.
13 A glorious rain this morning and everything here looking beautiful. Not many in this afternoon. The girls put the enamel on the chairs. Elaine here this evening.
14 Fine morning, had Ina for the day and Pauline and I went to Ch. Town. I got some of Mauds books to sell. Had eleven for lunches.

Opening Green Gables Golf Links on July 19th
14 We took Mrs Timmins, Mrs Harper, Adele and Anne with us. Very tired at night and heavy rain. A party of six had their supper in our dining room.
15 Rained a little all day. Quite a number in, no lunches. Mr Robert JC Stead & Mr Smith here for dinner. Had Ina again to-day. Elaine and Myron took Mother to town this afternoon.
16 S. Fine to-day and cool. Over a hundred registered. We went to South Rustico to church, took May & Alec. Heavy fog. Mr Hayden came to Cavendish.
17 A lovely day. Annie Earl & I papered the bath room. Plumbers came. The girls washed. Pauline hurt her thumb pretty bad. Charlie & Lucy Woolner in this evening. Girls went to town with Eric Bell.
18 A lovely day and a busy one. Plumbers put in new sink in Kitchen. Had ten extra for dinner. Pauline and I went to Town in a hurry. Got supplies for to-morrow.
19 A perfect day and the official opening of Golf Course. A big busy day. Mr Crerar & Mr Howe played the first game. The CBC broadcasting trailer here all night. Fed about 70 people. Everyone satisfied and tired and glad its over.
20 Bitter cold to-night. Very busy day. 21 in for supper and tea. Mr Thompson away again until Sept.
