15 8A. Blowing and cold all day but cloudless all day. Not feeling very good. Bad cold. Dialogue practice here. Went to bed early.
16 Not so cold to day and feeling better. Went over to see Ellice in forenoon. She had been so miserable this winter. Ernest Anita and I went to Institute at Ben Woolners.
17 Nice day but chill East wind. Ernest & I went up to see Mrs Hammond. Girls went to rink at Stanley to-night.
18 32A. Cloudy and rained most of day and froze on to everything in evening. No Group. Edward over in evening. Heard Joseph Kennedy speaking from London in afternoon and Lord Tweedsmuir at night. Shirley Moffat has a new sister.

19 32A. A continuation of yesterdays weather. Some of the ice dropped off of the trees. Bobbie Smith sick, gall stones.
20 44A. The warmest day for a long time and the snow has settled a lot to-night and its still going. All the family went to church.

21 Rained a lot to day and the snow has had a bad scare and is on the run to the brook. Ernest drove Waine back and forth to and from school. We spent the evening at Freds.
22 Not a nice day. Blowing a gale from North & N. East. Girls washed and ironed. CGIT here in evening and a taffy pull.
23 A nice day all day. Thawing pretty fast in afternoon.
March 1938
23 Ernest took me over to Ern McNeills in afternoon and in the evening we went down to Alfred Moores. Choir practice here. Roads pretty bad.
24 54A. Feeling rather rotten. Anita working at her spread. Pauline finished hooking her first mat. A Scotty dog. The brook very high. Ernest had to drive Waine to school.
25 34A. Very fine and did not thaw a great day. Fields bare but plenty of snow in roads yet. Group at George McCoubreys. Girls walked.
26 Very fine day and wind east and cold all day but thawing a little. Ernest closed gaps in fields and the church hill was broken out and our lane. Gordon here in evening.
27 S. Not a nice day at all, a cold east wind. Stayed in bed until afternoon. Tennis & wife here this evening. Baptist church. Ice is solid in Gulf.
28 Wind east. Cold wind all day. Did not wash. Mary Graham and Myrons and Ced Simpson here for evening to WCTU, but did not have meeting.
29 East. Lovely day. Girls washed. Ernest went to Rustico for meat, Nan went up to see Mrs Hammond McK and had supper at Freds. Lorne and Mary up in evening. Had a nice tumble off the door step.
30 Another lovely day but cold east wind. Had my first walk for a long long time.
31 Cloudy, wind south and chill. Ham here in afternoon for supper & milk. Roads bad, too much snow in places & bare ground.
April 1 Pouring rain and warmer. Should help to clean up snow. YPS at Prestons to-night. Mr Tillie took Nan. Foggy and misty tonight. Bobbie had a wagon.
