Bad storm up West June 1st. Twister.
26 and baked bread. Mr McPhail here for dinner. Planted dahlias. Anita & Gertrude down to see Sadie Johnston McLeod.
27 In bed until noon, just tired. Girls went calling in afternoon. Poured rain all evening.
New Boy at Rupie[?] Simpsons
28 Cloudy this morning but cleared up lovely this afternoon. Mr. Cautley here in afternoon. Girls started to Group but turned back on account of dense fog. Lorne & Mary up this evening.
29 Just a perfect day after the fog lifted but wind cold tonight. Anita & Gertrude visiting in afternoon. Dad working in garden. Had a little drive to Creek and back.

30 74A. Very nice day, quite warm. Wilbur Willis came for Gertrude. Mr & Mrs Art Henry here in afternoon also Reuels called. We took Mrs Paterson to Ch Town to hear Mrs Park of Korea. She was very very interesting.
31 84A. Very very warm and quite a sharp little thunder storm at tea time. Very hot all day and its 64 at bed time and not a breath of wind. Busy day. Went over to Mrs Patersons in evening. Mrs Wyand & Mrs Lowther there.
Bad fire in Brookfield Orange Hall burned house and some barns
June 1 80A. Very warm until about 4 PM when wind came round to north. Ernest working in garden. Crated up 36 hens to-night for Upton. Willie Toombs here this evening.
2 Much cooler to-day but very fine. Girls set out some plants in AM. In afternoon we took Mrs Paterson and called at Mrs Johnstons, Mrs Alex Toombs, and Bob McKenzie. Upton took 36 hens and our two little pigs this morning.

3 Prince Edward, Duke of Windsor, and Mrs Wallis Warfield married to-day. Planted beans. The first shipment of gas oil etc came for Park. Elmore McKay and Winnie got dahlia bulbs.
4 Poured rain nearly all day. In bed with sore side all day.
5 Still it rained. Anita took Mrs Paterson to Hunter River in the morning. Set out a lot of plants. Isobel Beers here waiting for Mrs Bonnell. The family went to Ch. Town at night to see the Coronation pictures and Spanky McFarlane.
6 Got home at 1 AM. Peggy is 30 years old to-day. A lovely day but wind cool. The country very beautiful and the apple bloom is very lovely this year. Baptist Church in afternoon. Dad and I went down to see Mrs Bonnell in evening.

7 Very nice day, looked like rain but didn’t manage it. Cleared off lovely in evening. Anita took a carload of women to New Glasgow to District Convention. Dad & I went in evening. Premier Campbell spoke on National Park. Got home at midnight.
8 70A. Very warm sunny and SW wind for a change. Edward rolling. Girls washed. I cleaned up back porch. Mr Cautley Mr McKay and Mr McLaren here in afternoon. Mary (Mrs Lorne McNeill) up to-night for dahlias. Sold another cow. Girls got home at 12:45 from Cape Traverse.
9 Just a perfect day all day. Ernest burning brush along Mayfield road south of Cemetery. Went to Rustico this evening. Got paper for little North west bed room.
10 Lovely morning. Left early for Town taking Mrs Fred and Anna with us also Lucy Woolner. Girls got bed spread for Mrs Paterson.
