4  poorly. Quite a snow storm to-night.

 

5  NE. A terrible snow storm all day. Didn’t sleep much last night. Bad night, very dreary. Trains blocked again. Not cold.

 

6  Lovely morning, colder. Ernest & K. shoveling snow nearly all day. Lots of shoveling before they could get cattle watered. Montague out in evening.

 

7  Sunday. Snowing this morning from S.E. Didn’t amount to much. Ernest & I went over to Jerry’s in afternoon. Took Lorraine & P.J. Got a mean cold.

 

8  Zero. Fine, quite cold all day. Keith helping at rink.

 

9  Zero. Fine, but a very cold wind. Ernest did most of the washing this morning. Moderated in afternoon. Youngsters went up to rink. Montague went to Cecil’s afterward and got here at 12:40. Irene was here.

 

10  15B. Snappy this morning. Wind came round N.E and bitter cold. Big wedding in at Tennis’s at night. Mary & Robert Zeb. Big crowd there. We went with Jerry’s. Got home at 9:45. Snowing at night.

 

11  Snow storm this AM but not much cold. Snowed all day but not blowing hard. Aunt Clarrie died this evening. No mail to-day. XYZ.

 

12   26A. Not so stormy as yesterday and not cold. Ernest working in Cemetery all afternoon. No mail.

13  Perfect day all day. Not cold. Ernest finished in cemetery at 3:30 PM. A terrible job. Nan went up to Bay View. Keith at rink afternoon and evening. Choir practice here to-night.

 

14  Sunday. Fine wind east. Preaching in United Church in afternoon.

 

15  Snow storm, north east. Aunt Clarrie buried in afternoon. Not a large funeral. Terrible day. Tired.

 

16  Milder but snowed some all day. Dad & I went down to Alberts in afternoon.

 

17  Fine, washed & scrubbed. Institute at Roy Toombs last night. Quite a good crowd there. Perfect night. Montague & Irene here for evening.

 

18  Fine. Marion went over to Wyands for the day. Y.P.P.G & practice here at night. 1st at Preston’s, 2nd at Fred’s. Dad got canvas for mat.

 

19  Quite a snow storm, turned soft in afternoon. Got my mat in and started.

 

20  Everybody hooking. Wrist crippled first day not a good beginning. Rink to-night. Blowing a gale and cold. Keith froze ears bad.

 

21  7B very bitter cold blowing a gale all day. Fine.
