3rd  Mrs Nelson Orr broke her leg. Fell from a carriage. Practice at McCoubrey’s.

 

4  Fine but cloudy all day. YPPG at Blair Andrews. Letters from Elaine & Helen.

 

5  Fine. Cecil & Keith went to town. Brought out our new organ. Ernest & Peter busy in woods etc. Practice here to-night.

 

6  Fine. Mr Bonnell preached this morning. The youngsters up at Mothers to-night to hear radio.

 

7  Fine. very mild. Ernest went to Hunter River with hogs. Road very very bad. Practice here to-night.

 

8  Fine. washed. Chicken for dinner. K.’s birthday. Put up new stove in room. Isobel Louise Brinton arrived.

 

9  Dark and rainy. Killed geese and half dozen chickens. Wind came around cold and freezing to-night.

 

10  8A Fine but bitter cold. Anita and I went to Creek with geese and chickens, 70 lbs geese, 23 chickens. Practiced at night.

 

11  4A. Cold. thrashed in afternoon. YPPG at Jerrys.

 

12  Milder. Snowed in AM & rained all afternoon. In to Mrs Wyand’s at night.

 

13  Nan has tooth ache and a plum pudding.

13  Snowed and rained and froze. Roads wild. Mr Tyndall preached in afternoon. I went to [?] to tea.

 

14  Got word of Elaine’s baby’s arrival. Cold blowy day. Invitation to Golden Wedding came. Mr & Mrs Aitkins here for tea.

 

15  Fine, blowing hard but not very frosty. Sold 24 1/2 doz eggs. Hester, Anna, & Montague here. Ernest went to H. River for Eaton order and Maud’s box of books.

 

16  Fine day. Girls miserable and K. laid up. Killed steer at Freds. Over to JF’s for little while. Mrs Irving J. Laird, Jerry, Anna, Lemmie, Wyand & Hattie here in evening.

 

17  Another lovely day. Cut up beef. K. feels mean.

 

18  Fine day, went up to see Mother in morning, she has been pretty miserable. Ernest busy getting in money for Golden Wedding. Went down to Alberts in evening.

 

19  Lovely day. Ernest & Preston Warren went to town. Got two chairs for Mr and Mrs Darnley Clark. Frosty. Irene Wyand here to tea.

 

20  Beautiful day. Sarah Jack buried in afternoon, funeral at church. Mr Aitken
