28th  Another beautiful day but very smoky. Nonnies [?] ankle a little better. Dad ploughing in swamp field. Finished ironing. Word from Mother that she is in Montague, Letter from Myron. Class to-night.

 

29th  fine colder. Keith and Dad threshed in AM. Dad got cheese at Stanley this afternoon. Also beauty smelts from Mrs. Dance and fish. Started night gowns and made cookies

 

30th  came up from Montague. Dewer at Clemmies. Not feeling very well at all. Finished the turnips.

Nov 1st  Lovely day, at Gordon’s last evening and came home tonight. Feeling a little better.

 

2  Lovely warm day. South west wind. Mother and Cecil here for dinner & supper and Reuel & Enid here for supper. Tired tonight. Mrs. Albert McNeil came home from hospital today.

 

3  North East & North, quite a change. Cold and rain and snow. Ernest plowing in AM. Keith still at JF Froze hard

 

4  Finer to-day and much colder. Ernest went to Ch Town on business in connection with Aunt M’s will. Mrs. Eustace washed. Busy all day. Mrs. Albert worse. They have a nurse.

 

5  Fine and cold. Froze hard. Ernest got home at noon. Mrs. A Wyand here for supper. Marion and Keith went to Rustico.

 

6  Blowing a gale from south. Rained in evening. Ernest not feeling well today. Mrs. Albert a little better today. Keith & I went down in evening.

 

7  Dark drizzly day. Mrs. Albert had a good night. Busy all day and didn’t do much.
