3  and Miss Brown here until the 4th and left in the rain. More rainfall than there has been in 41 years, in the last three months.

 

4  Still raining but we got a washing done and partly dry. Picked raspberries in afternoon.

 

5  A little finer but business dull. Anita went to Town this AM. Quite a number around.

 

6  Cleared up and fine all day tho’ cool. A large crowd at tea and fed 60 here. Very busy. Myrons over this evening. Over fifty playing Golf.

 

7  Went to Town with Myron and Elaine and did the shopping for the girls. Quite busy in afternoon. Tired at night. Quite warm. Miss Flower here.

 

8  Still warm. Not feeling very good. Fed 68. Tired to-night. Took Miss Flower with us to Rustico.

 

9  Fine but cloudy and muggy. Not many around for meals. Girls went to Town at night. Dad & I stayed home.

 

10  A terrible storm and Dads trousers are mostly in Ch. Town. 6R Air Force here. Don Ken Dick Lem, Les and Maurice and the Allens here in the evening.

 

11  A nice day, blowing hard. Quite a crowd around and everyone tired at night. Tuesday the 12th a very busy day and all in when we went to Keiths. Miss Flower went with us. Keith caught one fox.

The wettest summer since 1900. Only two fine Sundays in July and not one to date in August

 

13  Fine all day but still very cold. Old Home Week. Fed 32. Pauline and Miss Flower went to Town. All in to-night.

 

14  Another fine day but wind cold. Worked in flowers around house in forenoon. Blue berries good and Marion Brinton keeps us supplied. The Bakers over this evening. Girls went to Town with Heber.

 

15  Fine and warm. Miss Flower in Town with the Allens. Rained at night, Got my books from McClellands.

 

16  Poured rain all day. Anita, Miss Flower and I went to Town. The Air Force here to-night.

 

17th  Pouring rain this morning, another Nor East storm. The family went to church in morning and I went to Baptist church at night to hear Myron then we drove down to see the Logans at Lornes.
