16 S. Very fine but cooler. Quite a number here this afternoon. Alvin and Jean Manderson here for afternoon and evening. Eric Bell here for dinner.
17 Much colder to-day. Rained in the morning. Carpenters working here to-day. CGIT started to-night. Blowing hard and house cold.
18 Lovely day but quite cool. Ellice over in afternoon Mr Smith here for dinner. Mr Murdie & McKay up.
19 Cloudy day. Men working at cement. Anita came home from Town. Lorraine tired to-night. Pouring rain and Institute post-poned.
20 Cloudy and damp all day and fog. Men worked all afternoon. Carpenters all day. Institute at Lorne McNeills at night.
21 Rained this forenoon but cement men on the job this afternoon. Carpenters worked all day. YPS at church.
22 Colder and cleared up in afternoon. Quite cool to-night. Men finished the cement work. Lorraine went to town with Mr Woods and they brought Wanda Dennis out. Couldn’t get the car to start to-night.
23 A lovely fall-day, quite cool. Had a walk in the morning over the Course. Enid & Reuel and family including Otto here this afternoon. We took Wanda to Town at night and went to Baptist church and Enids afterwards.

and blew a gale. Messers Smart & Thompson came to Borden on the freight boat and Mr Wood & Norman met them and took them to Town. Mrs Woods & Jr here until after midnight. Dance at George McCoubreys, their 10th anniversary.
25 Colder this morning and blowing hard. Mr Thompson here for dinner. Everyone weary today.
26 A perfect fall day. Messers Smart & Thompson here to dinner also Murdie & Smith and five other men. Carpenter opened up our bedroom roof.
27 First game played on Golf Course this afternoon. Teachers study group at New Glasgow. Went to Town to-night to see the show Tom Sawyer. Mr Thompson, Mr Mould, Mr Galbraith, & Mr Beers played the game & Edward Lowther caddy.

28 Cloudy AM but kept fine all day and the work went merrily on. Everyone very tired to-night. Went to Creek.
29 Busy day, cloudy but no rain. Men put in south door frame. Got word that Kennie Woods is dying. Anita went to Carleton for Keith and family. Halloween party here to-night. Tired? Oh no.
30 Bitter cold wind all day. Not so many around. The Carleton family of Webbs went home with Lowell & Annie. Mr Tillie preached in United Church.
31 Cloudy at times and warmer. Everyone busy. Washed etc. WCTU at Arties.
