11  Borden and Marions. Got letter from Marion to-day. Mrs Paterson went to Town with Mr Tillie and they brought Lorraine home from Camp.

 

12  Nice day but cloudy and raining to-night. We did a big washing to-day. Mrs Paterson and Douglas went home. We visited with the Woods family. Douglas and Helen came along. Mr TA Crerar and wife, Premier Campbell etc. and so on called here this afternoon. Big day.

 

13  Rained most of night by the look of things. Finished ironing. Mr Wardle, Mr Mills, Mr Fenton, Mr Murdie & McKay here this morning and went through the house. Mr & Mrs Shirley here this evening. The girls went with Smiley kids to Carleton.

 

14  Lovely day. Temp up to 80 and hay dried good in afternoon. Lorraine at Mrs Lowthers for day. Quite a number in. Camp fire at shore with Smileys and Woods and Mr Henderson.

 

15  Raining again this morning and very warm and sticky. Elaine and Myron here to supper. The Smiley family over for a while. Quite a number in to-day. Mr Fenton & Murdie & McKay here.

 

16  80A. A lovely day very warm. Milton Green finished putting our hay in for Elsie and he cut some across lane. Mr Stewart of the Golf Course Branch came at night and Mr & Mrs Carse and Jimmy. Very late at night and everyone tired. Got card

17  Lovely day but blowing hard. Mr & Mrs Carse here until noon. Went with Myron and Elaine to Tryon and didnt get home until 11:30. Mr Stewart at Premier Campbells all day. Over 40 registered.

 

18  Rained a little but work started on Golf Course at 1 o’clock. Quite a number in to-day. The Carses and Smiley families with Anita & Lorraine went fishing. Ernest went with Mr Woods to Emerald etc looking for Wes Coles.

 

19  Very warm in morning but turned cooler and fog in evening. Busy day. Washed, 36 registered. A party from Stanhope Beach here in afternoon. Car refused to go so had Preston down. 23 men in woods to-day. Ira McCoubrey hurt his foot and had to go to Ch. Town for x-ray. Lowther boarders had supper at shore.

20  Cloudy muddy and very hot. Over 30 men at work to-day. Mr & Mrs Thompson and Jimmy Gibson here to-night also Mr Stewart. Quite a number in to-day. Everyone weary. First raspberries.

 

21  Quite warm and quite busy. Washed, ironed, etc. Not so many around to-day but quite enough. Mr & Mrs Carse over and Mrs Woods up this evening and we walked through the lanes together.

 

22  Started raining shortly after midnight and rained until noon and again at night. Had Mr Murdie and Jim Coles here for dinner. YPS at church tonight.
