Jean Clark & John Bulman married on June 15th
12 day. Quite a number of cars at shore. Enid in for ice cream. Young Peoples Service at United Church at night.
13 Dark cloudy day and rained a little. Washed churned and baked bread and went down to Keiths for evening, took a bucket of clams, Mrs Lowther and Edward. Had a jolly evening.
14 Ironed in morning and Ted and Anna packing to go up west. They took me to Carleton and I stayed until Sunday the 19th. Did some sewing for Margaret and rested my feet. Dad and Anita and Charlie came down for me at night and we brought the children home with us.
20 A lovely day after a cloudy morning. Girls washed. Ted and Anna got here about 4 o’clock with a nice string of trout for supper. Went to shore for a little while but a heavy cloud came up and we just got home in time. Had a grand rain.
21 Lovely morning early but feels like frost to-night. Went to Town in afternoon. Ironed in forenoon. Got new sport shoes. Went to Mrs Alberts in evening. Tired to-night.
22 84A. Very warm day. Temp over 80 and everyone tired of heat and wind. Went to Rustico in afternoon for lobster and codfish. Mr McKay and Mrs Fred Clarke here in afternoon. Girls, Dad and Anna went to show at night in town.

23 Still very warm. Anita went to Institute Convention with Peg Tilly. Lorraine had her first music lesson from
June 1938
23 Lena McLure. Down to Alec’s in evening.
24 Still very warm and no rain tho’ cloudy part of day. Down to Rustico with Ted and Anna and to the shore. Group at shore to-night. Boiled lobsters for Gordon Fyfe. Ernest stepped on our little Tex Kitten and killed him. Feel sore and oh so tired.
25 A nice day, rained a little in Ch. Town but no much here. Lorraine Pauline Anna & I went to Town. Got my hair thined and it feels much better. Milton Green and girls up in evening. Everyone tired.
26 Poured rain this morning. Uncle Ted and Ernest went to Carleton for Keith and Margaret & Annie. None of the others came. Anita Dad & I took the kids home this evening and went to Bedeque Baptist Church.
27 Washed in morning and churned in afternoon. Anita took Mrs Fleming to Institute convention. Jack Quinns barn burned. Fortunately the Masonic hall didn’t catch. Ted, Ernest, Anna and I went to Brackley to see Gordon.

28 Damp air all day. East wind in afternoon. Ironing. Anna and Ted fishing. Male chorus in New Glasgow at night and the whole family went.
29 Rained hard all last night and this morning and the men of the house slept. Had 19 register to-day. Cleared up lovely in afternoon. Lorraine made herself a dress. Went down to see May and Alec about a picnic Saturday.
