13  and Miss Clara LePage here for awhile this evening. Reuel broke spring of car.

 

14  Cloudy. Sunday School picnic. Baseball game. Rustico beat Cavendish. Raining a little tonight.

 

15  Lovely fine day. Cooler. Busy. Ernest & I went to Rustico this evening. Called to see Mrs. Green. She is feeling a little better. Mrs. Jerry’s boarders were here this evening. Aunt M. very fussy. White frost in some places tonight.

 

16  Perfect day. Bad fire at Kensington last night and early this morning. Tuplins store, McG[?] meat store, Bank, Drug store and Kennedys warehouse burnt $100,000 lost. Elmer, Lizzie, & Maria came down after dinner. Ernest & Maria went fishing, caught one.

 

17  Sunday. Lovely morning, rained a little after church till about 2 PM. I went to church with the crowd. Gordon, Lydia, Everett Stewart and a Mr. Vickerson here for supper.

 

18th  Fine in AM. Rained about 11. Elmer & Lizzie started for O’Leary about 4:15. Maria & Keith caught 20 trout today. Women’s Institute at Chester Woolners. Miss Matheson there.

 

19th  Fine. Washed. Maria & Marion went picking raspberries. Ernest cut barley after dinner. Lorraine got her first beating in school. Elaine went down and they went to shore. Gordon & Lydia & Reggie and Will Smith came out for Maria about 9 o’Clock.

 

20th  Just one perfect day all day. Ernest crippled with a very stiff neck. Marion and Keith got a bucket of blueberries this afternoon. Aunt M. terrible cranky. Nerves pretty bad today. New Annan races. Raspberries about done.

 

21st  Lovely rain this AM. Very busy all day. Expecting Miss Johnson but she didn’t come. Aunt M. had an extra special on to-day. Letter from Aunt Lizzie.

 

22  Fine cool like fall. Ernest cutting 1st field at end of lane. Ella Warren, Hattie & Ella Wyand are here to tea. Baseball game at Rustico. Mother down in evening. The Johnsons came to Jerry’s today.
